  1. Braden 1/3 with a BB, .240/757 Winston Salem on the verge of going 18-36 (Birmingham with the much better record but almost no positional prospects, maybe Bergolla ends up a utility infielder.) Mogollon (SS) having a nice season so far for KANNY as well.
  2. Montgomery at .197/.664 Back up off the deck...but let's get that OPS up to 750-775 before they start talking about a promotion. Not to mention it wouldn't be fair to push Meidroth off SS at any rate. Pitching in shambles for the most part, though.
  3. Maybe just maybe they're feeling a LITTLE bit of pressure to provide some entertainment value before Smith, Taylor, Schultz and eventually Braden/Bonemer in 2026... Plus, this is their big opportunity to move some chips in and see what they can get offensively before guys like Tauchman and Slater and Robert get dumped on other teams.
  4. You too must be an admirer of the Devil's Advocate position online...
  5. That would limit him to 130 plate appearances.
  6. 2020-2022 were the only high payroll years...then one can argue about 2023 for a market the size of Chicago.
  7. Feel a LOT more confident listening to Ishbia. Finally a vision of SOMETHING better.
  8. Where did the $200 million private contribution attributed to JR recently come from?
  9. Corresponding move? Capra Quero or Palacios?
  10. "Whatever the case, the nightmare is over, and the games are about to return. Of course, considering the teams, that opens the possibility of many other nightmares." Ha.
  11. Please be Capra or Palacios. Couldn't be Rojas after today and with Sosa out. Quero down the third option?
  12. He's a success just NOT being Grifol. Like Venture replacing Guillen in 2012. Then it all just fell apart.
  13. Wanted to say Lance Johnson but dating myself with how long ago that was...
  14. Without a closer....they will never be able to put up long winning streaks, and they still don't have enough power in the middle of the lineup. They also were swept by Baltimore. Over 162 games you are what you are.
  15. A whole lot depends on Teel Quero Montgomery's and Big 3 in Birmingham. It certainly won't be big FA spending.
  16. Meidroth impressed DET broadcast team a lot. Reached base 13 times across four games. Slater two SF bunts in 1500 career at bats.
  17. Yeah...that all piled up from 15-18 years ago. Not adding to the 2023 playoff team that actually won a postseason series killed the fan interest/faith.
  18. Elko the hero fittingly. Split series with best team in baseball. Skubal being held back doesn't exactly work. Maybe more exciting for baseball in general though to watch him against Cubs' lineup.
  19. Slater can bunt? Second SF bunt of his career.
  20. Lee running. Intentional walk to Benintendi.
  21. Cease looking increasingly like an every other year pitcher. ERA at 4.81.
  22. baabip for Wilson is .130 righties hitting 4/40
  23. Dominic Smith would have been a better choice than Palacios as well. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/blue-jays-dfa-triple-a-star-who-can-t-solve-mlb-in-latest-roster-shuffle/ar-AA1G8xNX?ocid=BingHp01&cvid=f1a2267e99d2411e85db8da7becc8fe6&ei=13 Surely a better DFA/acquisition possibility than Capra, Palacios or Rojas... Michael Stefanic is an American professional baseball infielder for the Toronto Blue Jays. He signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays in November 2024. He is currently playing in the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons. Stefanic is a versatile infielder who has played second base, third base, and shortstop (because the White Sox don't have enough of those at all, almost makes one think sticking with Gage Workman would have been the wisest overall move). Stefanic has a strong track record in the minor leagues, particularly in Triple-A. He's known for his high on-base percentage and ability to draw walks. MLB Debut: . Stefanic made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Angels in 2022 and has played for them and the Blue Jays. https://www.mlb.com/news/michael-stefanic-emerging-as-angels-prospect&ved=2ahUKEwjKys6xjdyNAxUKC0QIHX6oNJQQFnoECB0QAQ&usg=AOvVaw216BOwxS2B8HzdV9Rivch8 Mar 9, 2022 — Angels Minor League infielder Michael Stefanic has never found himself on any top prospect lists.
