As long as MLB is considered a quasi-public institution due to the anti-trust exemption...you can't fairly compare it to a mom and pop store or a Wal-Mart/Costco, either. The trust/buy-in of the community is required for the relationship to work equitably for both sides.

Vasil's ERA looks great, but he's not providing much value according to the fangraphs scale even at sub 2.00. He's definitely someone they SHOULD be looking at as a starter in the second half of the season. The big question is how much he loses off at 94-95 MPH FB, how sustainable it is as a starter.
