  1. Who would be happy being told by Getz not to expecting winning for basically three more years? Especially when outspending any AL Central ownership group going into the 2027-28 labor impasse would allow them to instantly stockpile talent over the other four cash-strapped teams? Instead Sox fans get 1994-95, Covid (when there's finally an exciting team after eight years) and now not even spending more than $5 million on a player...with promises basically NOT to spend in FA until 2028 at the earliest.
  2. 689 ops in Charlotte is like 589. Fine for a middle infielder.
  3. Except they have the massive advantage of the AL Central in their favor. And the third largest media market when they actually start spending again...and viewer numbers start to return (especially with Cubs' fans all forced to subscribe to the premium Comcast tier next year).
  4. You also owe him the opportunity to go to a contender if there's a match.
  5. Shane Smith just behind Crochet at 2.45 and ahead of Rodon for 13th in MLB ERA. 2 2/3 ip off being officially qualified.
  6. 10 Yoshinobu Yamamoto P 2.20 11 Garrett Crochet P 2.35 12 Robbie Ray P 2.44 13 Carlos Rodón P 2.49 14 Logan Webb P 2.58 15 Corbin Burnes P 2.66
  7. He's a free agent this off season. Max his trade value now...you can always think about bringing him back again if no contenders bite.
  8. Which is a reasonable timeframe. 2025 was not...especially not starting his pro career until this season.
  9. Only surprise is the Marlins and not the Rockies here...
  10. Five years to competitiveness in the AL Central is just ridiculous. The Tigers/Twins spending in the $145-147 million range is not the AL/NL West or East by a long shot.
  11. And that post was about the brother, Matt...not Justin. All reports are the Suns' owner is the secondary guy with the Sox. There's also a clear and massive difference between liquid and illiquid investments...such as JR's paper net worth with the two teams.
  12. How much of JR's net worth is liquid? 5-10% It's all in the valuations of two teams and land/development deals.
  13. Booser probably has some value and he's already into his early 30s. Depends on the offers, as always.
  14. Seems closer to mid 20s than 19000+. Really into these close/r games now. Tough stretch with four pretty strong opponents in a row coming up...Texas offense has to wake up eventually and Hou StL Toronto all playing well. Pretty sure we will miss Hunter Brown.
  15. Keeping players that age healthy/available is the problem. Granted, there are not any outfielders between Chicago and Braden pushing for time unless you really buy into Julks and Fletcher's AAA numbers.
  16. Didn't realize Davis Martin was under control through 2030..makes the trade case harder to make despite his age.
  17. Rangers have now dealt away Ragans and parked this guy in AAA.
  18. Houser and Martin both very attractive trade market targets...depending on what they can get back. Houser the original original veteran leadership purpose of Perez. But that new found velo is getting a lot of attention at his age.
  19. It was so specific I thought something had come out that I missed...but throwing in autism wasn't fair at all. Plus there's a clear change in slant of those Hindu temple symbols....if you've seen enough across Asia.
