  1. If we can't beat DET now, wait until they add Torkelson, Mize, Manning and Riley Greene. We'll be getting caught from behind by the Tigers while the Twins/Indians are still holding out at the top. Middle income/Thucydides Trap
  2. Isn't Norris the guy who used to live in a van/camper by the river?
  3. Meanwhile, a great hustle play by Daniel Norris to nab Mendick and prevent two runners from being on base. Of couse, RISP, we might as well forget about driving in a run, anyway. Only way we're going to score is homers. Ankle? Knee? EXIT VELO 94 on Mendick's ball.
  4. Cron might have a broken tibia/fibula there.
  5. I would much rather watch Adolfo or Rutherford out there....or platoon them.
  6. He also tried to sell us on Avisail Garcia as a legit big league CFer, Keppinger as a poor man's Zobrist and Herrera/Cishek as lock-down set-up guys. Oh, and that Felipe Paulino could be a star.
  7. On the plus side, a Mazara 650 OPS means we have to go out and get a RFer in FA. So there's that. Hopefully it doesn't mean Adam Engel again.
  8. Mazara and Collins have almost indistinguishable swings at this point...
  9. Send him to Schaumburg...33% serious.
  10. You would think Allen Thomas would have noticed that. If he could "coach up" his son to the #53 prospect in baseball with limited physical tools, what should he be able to accomplish with a beast like Moncada? Or, Yoan's more about his "look" and not always listening to the coaching/training staff. No idea.
  11. Three days of summer vacation left...have no choice but to enjoy it while it lasts, if "enjoy" is the right word for this particular viewing experience.
  12. Jones is Top 10 MLB in OPS and he's hitting 9th?
  13. Got hesitant. Either fear of getting hurt, or the coaching staff told him to back off. This team would be so much more dangerous with Robert, Anderson and Moncada really active on the basepaths, manufacturing some runs and forcing the action. Make the opponent beat you with a great relay. Don't just sit around waiting for something to happen, playing 2006 White Sox station to state baseball, same thing with 2008 when Carlos Quentin was carrying the team. Earl Weaver offense.
  14. At least we've seen Fullmer when at his best, and that's REALLY good. It's not some no-name dude, although his season statistics so far this year are ugly in limited action.
  15. Are you a world geography teacher, lol?
  16. Nice trade, Epstein. Jacka--. How is it that former Cubs are everywhere you look? Well, other than Cease and Jimenez. And Jimenez has been hurting more than helping recently.
  17. It is if you live in a city of 11 million... Weak sauce flyout to LCF. Ugh. It's stunning how much more exciting the line-up and viewing experience with Luis Robert in the line-up is, compared to whatever this is.
  18. Great time for Grandal's first White Sox homer....still on 0, but I think leading the team in RBI's still.
  19. Jinx? How many will admit it, lol? That very rarely happens around here, it's like stock pickers, only get the "winners" and never the busted picks. Okay, let's put together a 2-4 run inning here.
  20. Gausman, almost the exact same stuff and only 40-50% of the price, and certainly less years.
  21. The Phillies already have 12 runs through 5 vs. the Bravos.
  22. This seems like a carbon copy of the last Keuchel start. Renteria, please pay attention the 3rd time around the line-up vs. Dallas. Just a request.
  23. DET announcers calling that ball a "duck snort." Hawk is smiling somewhere in rural NW Indiana.
  24. Domino's, or Little Ceasar's? Of course, nobody will admit to preferring LC for the "value," even if they actually liked the taste. Crazy bread!! pizza pizza Seems Jimenez is the early goat of the game. What's new this last week?
