Conforto is relatively young, LH and can field a position decently/well. That's the going rate, but it doesn't matter, because the White Sox are unlikely to meet it...if he was a FA last off-season, he'd be looking at $120-150 million, arguably. Heck, Suzuki got a pretty impressive deal and he hasn't even played stateside. Conforto has a considerable track record.

They’re down on Paddack and Gore, but not THAT down…way too many pitchers coming off injuries like Darvish, Clevinger, Morejon and Lamet. Weathers was a rookie last year and hit a workload wall.

Since when our prospects in the Top 50 worth less than $10-15 million? Even if they (White Sox) ate all of Myers’ and Kimbrels’ deals, that’s not worth Hassell. We know that’s never going to happen. What next, CJ Abrams, too? That would solve second and require trading half our farm system.

SoxTalk simply cannot handle Myers for Kimbrel and Conforto signing with SD… Unless they were going to send a Top Ten prospect or two back the other way, which everyone would immediately forecast failure for (thinking Campusano.)
