  1. Well, if they lose, we've only lost 1 hour 45 minutes of our lives, compared to last night's 4+ hours (imagine if Colome blew that one.)
  2. Two more innings to get to the Brewers before Hader Time.
  3. That would have been a double with Delmonico or Mazara out there... Fastest game in MLB this season, minus 7 inning DH?
  4. Avi usually busts it down the 1B line a bit more than that...
  5. Feeling a bit sorry for the Brewers, unpredictable 4 game layoff, White Sox, then the Twins.
  6. "Yakety Yak" is a song written, produced, and arranged by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller for the Coasters and released on Atco Records in 1958, spending seven weeks as #1 on the R&B charts and a week as number one on the Top 100 pop list.
  7. Does anyone still think we should go after George Springer despite Astro-Gate? Obviously, we signed Dallas, but he's not an everyday position player who directly benefited, at least as far as we know.
  8. Two hits lost in less than one game for Yoan.
  9. Gyorko and Hiura, neither well-known for their defense heretofore.
  10. Minor league affiliate. Isolated from major population center/s. Controlled environment, where players can be strictly monitored. Not 100% sure, but they might even be owners or part-owners of that franchise, would have to double check. Used to be a lot more common than today. Seems like it's municipally owned, like the Clinton Lumber Kings. Brand new facility built for this year before whole COVID thing happened.
  11. That Liriano/Nathan/Boof Bonser trade changed the AL Central for a decade.
  12. That looked like late-career Jermaine Cement Shoes Dye. Both had top throwing arms, though.
  13. Late break from Mazara. Sigh. Gamel did what Adam Engel couldn't the other day on Madrigal's ball served out to CF...read the play correctly.
  14. 6 strikeouts already. Wow. Just have to wake up the offense, because you know Hader's getting 2 innings at some point today.
  15. Okay, fine. That was the story of his recall on Monday from Appleton to MIL. But today was his first big-league plate appearance and hit.
  16. Well, not even Carl Lewis or Usain Bolt is going to beat out that DP ball right at short.
  17. Matthias is a career minor leaguer, drafted by the Indians originally, became AAAA/roster filler and finally made it to the big leagues today with MIL.
  18. Batting second, John Wick's dog. Hitting 3rd, Halle Berry. Common, you're benched. And speaking of THE WIRE actors from yesterday's conversation...
  19. Avi is always going to be listed as a "former All-Star" in the same way Ron Coomer is during every Cubs' broadcast. That said, he had a pretty amazing (fortunate) 2017 season. What the HELL were you looking for in that situation, Avi? In classic Buehrle fashion, this game is flying by. If he starts a DH, the concessionaires are going to complain there's not enough time to sell anything before they have to shut down. Will take a 3.00 ERA every time out, 6 IP/2 ER.
  20. Hiura is really struggling these last two games...after starting out the season en fuego.
  21. PHEW. Didn't carry. You don't expect guys that the Royals gave up on to bash oppo homers, even at G-Rate.
  22. Wish I had $10 for every time a broadcasting team ruminated on friends/family members not being able to witness MLB debuts due to COVID-19... Nothing more exciting than receiving a wake-up call from GM/manager of your team at the Hampton Inn in Appleton, WI. PRICELESS. Three consecutive hits from the bottom of the line-up. Keuchel leaving his pitches up in the zone.
  23. First big league at-bat, first hit. Save that ball. Authenticate.
  24. Right in the cojones. Dangerous catching down on one knee like that.
  25. Kirk McCaskill goes down as best-looking White Sox player, arguably.
