  1. They're going to want to see him sustain it for at least 6-8 weeks. And where are you going to play him? 1B? DH is a bad idea at that age.
  2. Charlotte had to throw position players two nights in a row. Lipcius last night...Gray tonight.
  3. Now the bigger problem is actually with the health/depth/pitching side of things.
  4. At the very least...his career doesn't seem to be on a death spiral any longer. Hopefully it proves sustainable.
  5. 195 .598 Colson almost back to 200 600 ops

  8. Gavin Sheets, 1B/OF, San Diego Padres (13%) Sheets raced out to a scorching start for San Diego and never really faded. He's coming off a two-homer, five-RBI game on Thursday, which gives him eight bombs for the year. He was a buzzy name in the spring (6 HR, 1.077 OPS) and he's carried that level of performance into the regular season. Sheets has made significant gains in bat speed and exit velo, improvements that have clearly boosted his fantasy profile. If you're searching the free-agent pool for power, this is your guy. yahoo.com/sports https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/gavin-sheets-657757?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb
  9. No idea. Depends mostly on Vargas Sosa Elko and Vaughn himself. Trade window would suggest 1-2 weeks at most to heal thyself.
  10. One of the last victims of Hahn forcing people into spots where they didn't belong due to a lack of minor league depth. Remember when they wanted to try Burger at 2B or corner OF? Sheets as well never should have spent one day in the OF. And binging Rojas on board is forcing Vargas and Sosa to play away from their best positions as well as putting them at the one position they won't be able to carry offensively...which is first base. At any rate, Elko and Vaughn now have a head to head competition for 1B back in Chicago. Ramos and Colson, meanwhile, are fighting for their careers. And Lee Thaiss Quero and Teel fighting their own catching battles as well as 1B/DH until that all sorts itself out. But having some real competition is actually a good thing to finally see. It also seems to have brought out the best in Baldwin so far...that jarring AAA wake up call.
  11. Teoscar, Will Smith and Andy Pages (albeit a weird DP non RBI but he’s been very solid for them overall) help LA win it.
  12. Rs/ra Angels -43 Nationals -50 White Sox -54 Pirates -67 A’s -74 Marlins -82 Orioles -99 Rockies -158
  13. Charlotte losing 21-13. Lipcius in to pitch. Just Vaughn on the bench is bringing a shadow to Charlotte.
  14. Getz is going to pick up Seth Brown just dfa'ed by the A's. 32 yo fits the 31-33 year old target range.
  15. Justin Anderson will take care of that...
  16. Last year the names on jersey backs were too small...this year way too big.
  17. At least Robert deferred to Tauchman there...
