That looked like late-career Jermaine Cement Shoes Dye. Both had top throwing arms, though.

Late break from Mazara. Sigh. Gamel did what Adam Engel couldn't the other day on Madrigal's ball served out to CF...read the play correctly.

6 strikeouts already. Wow. Just have to wake up the offense, because you know Hader's getting 2 innings at some point today.

Okay, fine. That was the story of his recall on Monday from Appleton to MIL. But today was his first big-league plate appearance and hit.

Well, not even Carl Lewis or Usain Bolt is going to beat out that DP ball right at short.

Matthias is a career minor leaguer, drafted by the Indians originally, became AAAA/roster filler and finally made it to the big leagues today with MIL.

Batting second, John Wick's dog. Hitting 3rd, Halle Berry. Common, you're benched. And speaking of THE WIRE actors from yesterday's conversation...

Avi is always going to be listed as a "former All-Star" in the same way Ron Coomer is during every Cubs' broadcast. That said, he had a pretty amazing (fortunate) 2017 season. What the HELL were you looking for in that situation, Avi? In classic Buehrle fashion, this game is flying by. If he starts a DH, the concessionaires are going to complain there's not enough time to sell anything before they have to shut down. Will take a 3.00 ERA every time out, 6 IP/2 ER.

Hiura is really struggling these last two games...after starting out the season en fuego.

PHEW. Didn't carry. You don't expect guys that the Royals gave up on to bash oppo homers, even at G-Rate.

Wish I had $10 for every time a broadcasting team ruminated on friends/family members not being able to witness MLB debuts due to COVID-19... Nothing more exciting than receiving a wake-up call from GM/manager of your team at the Hampton Inn in Appleton, WI. PRICELESS. Three consecutive hits from the bottom of the line-up. Keuchel leaving his pitches up in the zone.

First big league at-bat, first hit. Save that ball. Authenticate.

Right in the cojones. Dangerous catching down on one knee like that.

Kirk McCaskill goes down as best-looking White Sox player, arguably.

For every 10,000 times they show that damn Je.Giambi/Jeter play at the plate, they might show one Juan Uribe 2005 World Series defensive highlight.

Well, so much for that inning. Well struck, but at'em ball.

Jimenez bothered a bit by his hand after that super-violent swing. Btw, did anyone see why/how Bryce Harper went out of the game today? EE left-shoulder "tightness." Day-to-day.

Not having to pitch for entire season is really going to be an advantage is keeping him fresh...at least in 2020.

Wheeler has averaged 96.7 on fastball. Caught first couple of innings, he got touched up (bad Segura defense) but recovered to get his second win. Yankees' lineup without Sanchez, Urshela and Stanton in Game 1. Already setting up roster for post-season/Twins.

Big shift from pre-season. The NL Central looked like it was going to be a huge challenge to get two teams out of that division, with 4 competitors and one garbage franchise. That said, their starting rotation has weaknesses and Wick as the closer might not have much of a shelf life.

Your WHAT hurts? "They've got my money in Hamtramck."

Bad hop, Garcia recovered, defensive positioning cost the Brewers a single up the middle.

Fathom, just curious. Are we going to fixate on the Cubs this year or you've totally given up the ghost? Or only if we face them in the World Series?

Robert was looking back, average lead, not a very good jump and barely got thrown out. Missed hit and run??? Or was just looking back towards the plate out of habit? Someone's going to have to talk to him about that.

Robert almost lost his balance and fell down there taking off...that would have been a really awkward landing.
