Well, there's always a possibility we can get Andujar on the cheap if the Yankees actually manage to pull Machado in at the last second...that wouldn't be ideal, but maybe it would work out much better for the team in the long-term. That said, we shouldn't have much faith in this team successfully "coaching up" players who are defensive black holes at 3B.

Attendance falloff...roster got too old, Stroman went backwards and just too hard to compete in AL East going it halfway. That’s not even considering TB positioning themselves as a sneaky 3rd team that would have gotten a WC had they been in the Central. Theyre essentially where the White Sox were two years ago, but don’t have three awesome contracts to deal. They do have Vladdy Jr. and Bichette, though.

Kopech, Giolito and Moncada though are the main concerns...then you have lots of uncertainty with Dunning/Hansen and significant injury setbacks with Robert, Burger and Adolfo. That’s not even counting all the questions about Fulmer/Collins/Burdi. Cease and Jimenez...even positives from Rutherford/Gonzalez, and drafting Madrigal/Walker, can’t counterbalance all that. Tons of potential...but who knows much about where any of these guys end up other than Jimenez right now? Yes, that’s pretty much the whole system, but overall...more down/red arrows than green ones. Most/many thought at least 1 or 2 of the Kopech/Moncada/Gio trio would be absolute studs.

They basically are eight deep...they can wait until the trade deadline on the pitching front. Long-term, Hiura is 2B, Perez for one year imo or they can trade Thames and try to get a partner for Perez to get through this year...or wait until June/July on that front as well. Or simply bring back Moustakas on a 1-2 year deal.

Brewers have Shaw, Arcia off a promising offseason....Twins have never given this type of deal out, other than to homegrown hero Mauer, and it wiped out two GM’s careers in many ways.

And Rendon. And Bogaerts. And, just for a twist, Josh Donaldson has a career resurgence and puts up All-Star numbers.

That's good for Iowa, too. They had in some ways an equally important win at 0-6 PSU without Tyler Cook, especially after losing by 24 points last year in State College to a very pedestrian team. Three weeks ago, it looked like Iowa was dead in the water, and yet they're 15-3. Two months ago, I would have said they were a lock for the Round of 32, but then the reality of Oregon not actually being a #13 team in the country when Iowa beat them in MSG set in. The B10 has so much parity after you get past Michigan and MSU. Look at Minnesota losing at Illinois, for example. If Iowa doesn't get Cook back this weekend, they could easily lose at home to Illinois, then they have another hellacious four game stretch (started WI, @ MSU, @ Purdue). As far as the B12 goes, last year OU and WVU were so much better, KSU hasn't exactly come together like predicated coming out of last season's run...it seemed almost every team could win against any other conference team on their home court.

A full week? C'mon! You should be used to that by now, it's not 2013 anymore.

Of course, that's PRECISELY why many celebrities are entering the political arena, because their money and "authenticity" to tell it like it is creates an illusion that they're actually siding with the "everyman/woman" in society.
