Overall revenues and franchise values are soaring due to MLBAM. Gambling will allow the analytics side of risk assessors t make hundreds of bets that are impossible in any other sport, driving up a viewing interest that wasn’t there before. Baseball is becoming more and more international (although losing the star power of Ohtani sucks) and will probably return to Canada and also add a team in Mexico. Cubs, Red Sox, Yankees, Astros with mega teams. Dodgers could get there too by the end of the season. The NFL is losing both fans (politics) and potential players (mom’s/concussions and CTE). Cincy, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Detroit...those markets are really struggling (or will struggle due to rebuilding/talent/ownership) issues. Then there’s the A’s and Rays and their stadium issues, Jeter’s PR problems in Miami, but the tanking issue for NBA is far worse and there are 8-10 teams that can win it all in baseball, not just 2-3. You can also add the overshifting to your list of complaints, Greg.

A’s at White Sox, 6/22 now straight doubleheader

He and Shields have both been playing around with different arm angles to give the hitters different looks and perhaps more movement, especially to LH batters. -

Moncada played that ball like the Sox definitely needed the win...a sense of controlled urgency. -

We’re going to have to live with Moncada and Anderson...but what, if anything, do we have in Davidson and Yolmer? RH platoon DH and a utility infielder? -

Narvaez somehow only 32 ops points behind Moncada. Tilson 25 back and climbing. Sanchez also falling below 700 for the first time all season long. -
Blake Hickman always had more hype (at Univ of Iowa), but Booker’s been the better pro...injuries, of course, have been a big part of the Hickman story.

Losing ten games in row doesn’t exactly help young players to develop either, not when their manager is part of the problem. -

And you just knew one of those runners would score. A’s beat the shift for the fifth time today. Lots of evidence that shifting is causing longer games, negligible impact overall. -

47 walks, 10 hbp and 11 wild pitches in just 70+ ip. Btw, Baretto has 4/5 career homers against the White Sox, because, of course. -

Giolito just hit 96 for the first time this season...couldn’t have a Lucas outing without a walk. -
Rutherford on fire again. Robert 2/5 with two singles, sac fly and wrecking havoc on the basepaths in his early W-S day/s...

He was developed by the White Sox from start to finish. Carlos Lee, Durham, Crede and Rowand are the best examples from that era, if you don’t count Cameron or Konerko. Then a huge void with Chris Young probably the best in career fWAR. -
https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-pushes-back-against-border-separation-furor-191259017--politics.html Trump has long chafed at the media's treatment, his fury only growing in the past week when he felt that he did not receive proper credit for his summit in Singapore with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. He told the Trinity Broadcasting Network, in an interview with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee set to air Saturday, that he found the news coverage "almost treasonous." Some conservatives seized hold of the migrant photo faux pas to attack the media, and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tweeted, "It's shameful that dems and the media exploited this photo of a little girl (Time Magazine cover) to push their agenda." Other Trump allies have gone even further. Ann Coulter, a conservative pundit, said Sunday in an interview on Fox News that kids at the border were "actor children" who were "given scripts to read by liberals." Coulter then turned to the camera and said to Trump, "Don't fall for it." A number of Democrats aggressively pushed back against Trump's claims. Rep. Peter Welch of Vermont said Friday that Trump's assertion was "bizarre" and that the border patrol processing center he visited in Texas in recent days was "nothing short of a prison." Trump has really gone off the deep end now...the more antagonistic and cornered he feels, the more likely we’ll start seeing a continuing stream of mistakes in the tariff wars and foreign policy. He just doesn’t get the fact that immigrants (legal and illegal) are no more or less likely to murder someone than a “regular American,” and the majority of studies present evidence they’re less likely to commit murder because their status is already so tenuous. How many of these Mexican immigrants have shot up a school, church, theatre or concert venue?

Do we really want to commit to putting Davidson back at third? Delmonico? Leury Garcia? Ryan Cordell? Skole? Someone has to play over there... -

Just Semien and Eduardo Escobar. Tyler Flowers has been pretty good for the Braves when healthy. Jose Martinez of the Cardinals played for the Sox minors well over a half decade ago, started career with Sox (son of Carlos Martinez.) Daniel Hudson, Addison Reed, Boone Logan, Devenski...obviously Gio Gonzalez. Montas, Bassitt, J.Guerra.
