You can’t expect a pitcher can just go out there and easily throw someone out from 300-325 feet...

Both of Abreu’s big hits tonight came on 77 and 75 mph pitches.... Velasquez is having an incredible performance out there.

Not like a wild pitch would be unexpected from Cordero...that pitch didn’t hit the Kingery, Harper would have scored.

Hahn expects aggressive offseason
https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=4892&position=3B He's already had a better season this year than his last three and is still just 30...will be 31 next year. If nobody needs a 3-3.5 fWAR (based on him finishing the sane way he’s played four month) third baseman, something is trrribly wrong with the industry.

At least they have Anderson and Jimenez higher up in the lineup...nobody else matters, other than McCann (maybe).

Alcides Escobar Released
There goes all of our hopes of signing a Venezuelan player...better bring Ozzie back to repair the damage and pacify Gregster in case Abreu isn’t on the team in 2020. Otherwise, we’ll be hearing a lot about parking and concession pricing.

Shouldn’t we now be working Blaze Jordan into it...like the Tanking for Beer tagline? Gettin’ lit (up) for Blaze?

Alcides Escobar Released
It’s definitely going to get play in the Royals’ clubhouse, but ex KC players never do well for the Sox anyway so maybe that will scare them away.

Alcides Escobar Released
One might even be a Hall of a Fame weirdo. Except we haven’t heard a peep about Sale causing even a whiff of a problem in Boston. LaRoche and Eaton, well those are different stories...but Eaton’s reputation was already checkered before he arrived.

Hahn expects aggressive offseason
Why would Moustakas want to play first before he really has to? $3 million is an expensive buyout, so they’re going to pay him $11 million next year unless the Brewers completely fall apart down the stretch. Even then, there’s no replacement option with Shaw falling off. Its not like they’re going to rebuild in the final year of many contracts in 2020.

It has been a while since the latest (fill in the blank)-Gate scandal with the White Sox.

A fair and balanced soliloquy about Jose Abreu, by ron
Wow, you’re really bringing your A game today. As far as the Brewers go, minus their stadium, that seems to be the current “best case scenario” for the White Sox in terms of payroll and the allocation of aforementioned monies on starting pitching, until proven otherwise. Actually, there’s really no point talking about 1B because the Sox will undoubtedly bring back Abreu for one more year, to get Robert through his rookie season. Finally, would have thought you were more of a “Safety Not Guaranteed” guy with your movie references.

Sox make no deadline moves
The Rays have too many pitching issues at present to mortgage the future on this season...and they know Colome better than the Sox, but, most of all, they’re not an organization that can afford to pay relievers $15 million over 1 1/2 seasons.

Alcides Escobar Released
Not going to want a put together a list of all the Knights who were recalled while he languished in Charlotte as your resume attention grabber. Kind of strange, his value (to the Sox) was going to be getting them to the playoffs so Madrigal and Robert could continue their seasons and hopefully experience success together in the postseason. Makes sense now that we have passed the August 1st deadline...hopefully he can catch on with someone who is willing to give him an opportunity.

A fair and balanced soliloquy about Jose Abreu, by ron
The Brewers have Braun, Thames and Jesus Aguilar who serve basically the same purpose. Corey Dickerson. Domingo Santana. Adams, Smoak and Moreland would be fine. Grandal’s ability to play first, catch and DH makes him even more valuable. Doubt another trade with the Cubs happens for Schwarber, but he’s a solid change of scenery candidate. Need someone like Ben Zobrist five years ago...not so easy to find in reality.

Why does it have the Fox News motto now in the thread title?...I guess someone has a sense of humor.

Hahn expects aggressive offseason
Supply and demand for only one elite pitcher still in his 20’s...at least 15-18 teams should be kicking the tires, including all the big spenders and probably coming off postseason success as well. Even Corbin got $140, so Cole will likely end up at $200-240 million.

Hahn expects aggressive offseason
They’re less likely to add huge money to the payroll than they are to dip into their prospect currency and trade for an established starter with 2-3 years of control remaining...

8/1 Games
Speaking of conspiracy theories, the Mets' announcers were claiming the White Sox were really dismayed with fans for calling US Cellular "THE CELL" because of the negative connotations of the South Side neighborhood back from the 70's and 80's., and more recent incident with the Royals and Ligues.
