The Marlins are hiring Chris Hess to replace Derek Shomon -- who is reportedly being named the White Sox hitting coach -- as the club’s assistant hitting coach, sources told MLB.com on Tuesday. Shomon was an Assistant Hitting coach with the Minnesota Twins in 2023 and 2024.
