  1. Tim Anderson second in the AL in oaa to Pena a bit unexpected...
  2. Sosa Vaughn Palacios Amaya next four on the chopping block
  3. Sosa is the first odd man out IMO. Vargas had a tough hop and got a bit off balance on the throw. Baldwin has more potential than Sosa because of his speed and better, more consistent contact hopefully.
  4. Astros woeful 3/31 with bases loaded. Hard to do. 29th in mlb.
  5. Still feels too much like Bulls' jerseys...hopefully they start emulating 80s 90s and Rose/Noah teams. Solid play by Dalbec to corral it.
  6. That's the one thing he excels in...gidp and warning track power. Quero 317/819 that'll work
  7. Hanging curve...great catch by Diaz on poor Pena throw.
  8. Has Venable ever curled the bill of his cap lol? not a big fan of the red stripes on the pants for some reason
  9. Lots more energy enthusiasm around team...tired of losing is probably part of it.
  10. Stone almost reverse jinxed Alvarez. Summer day game it probably goes.
  11. Perfectly placed flare...not sure if Cannon has ever been spectacular but okay. Nice to have a catcher that can throw.
  12. Decoy Vargas lol Who let the dogs out? so much for the small names on the back of the uniform can't miss Cannon lol
  13. Wrong to want to see more Thaiss? He's undoubtedly more valuable than Lee...who benefits here from being Rh somewhat but would prefer Thaiss' veteran leadership.
  14. Middle 90s still gets you killed in modern baseball if you don't have a reliable array of offspeed pitches to keep batters honest. Likewise, pitching from behind in counts due to command/control issues.
  15. https://www.mlb.com/rangers/news/jake-burger-wife-start-burger-family-foundation-for-down-syndrome This feels a little bit like the terrible year that Adam Dunn went through in 2011...started with appendicitis then more personal/family issues as well. The Burgers will figure it out, hopefully.
  16. Dane Dunning back too with TEX. "Burger was one of the Rangers’ biggest offseason acquisitions, but has been one of many players struggling in the first month of the season. He’s hitting .190 with a .561 OPS in 30 games as the Rangers’ primary first baseman. The Rangers traded for Burger in hopes that he would add some much-needed thump to the lineup. He was coming off a 29-homer season with 76 RBIs for the Marlins in 2024. In ‘23, he hit a career-high 34 homers with the White Sox and Marlins and recorded an .827 OPS."
  17. Brewers fans are still salty about Patrick protected but not Smith...no matter what they always get their pitching, Jose Quintana fell into their laps, for example. Can't possibly imagine Misner's numbers holding up...but with the Rays, anything's possible. Former draftnik favorite.
  18. Did he replace Carson Fulmer lol?
  19. Going by these numbers...Robert heading for a 4.5 bWAR would never come through in the game threads. Huge disparity between b and fWAR numbers with his game. Brooks Baldwin is looked at quite differently as well. Neutral fWAR...here quite negative.
