Somehow I have a feeling the return for Todd Frazier (back to the NL) is going to be a lot less than Thompson, Montas and Micah Johnson.

I guess if his arm were to fall out, the White Sox could theoretically collect 60% of that money back in the form of insurance payments. So there's that. Who is next starter in Charlotte? Beck? Carroll? Turner? Volstad? Hard to imagine Carson Fulmer or Danish doing much worse than this. And, of course, Juan "Clutch" Uribe drives in a killer run...Frazier couldn't quite make the play.

There's a big stigma in the church against cheating, so likely it's happening and you just don't know about it...or maybe the pastor/minister/counselor knows the situation, but they don't want it broadcast. To an extent, there's a self-fulfilling prophecy here at play. You don't expect those you go to church with to cheat, therefore you only are actively looking at cheating as coming from "non Christian" circles because of your perception. You should talk to your priest/pastor/minister and ask HIM/HER if she believes this to be true or not, that would be more interesting for you to hear their perspective. If they were honest, they'd say sin is all around us, as are sinners. Some ask for forgiveness from God for their sins, others obviously do not. You could make the argument that Christians are MORE likely to cheat because they're much more likely to be forgiven by a spouse for their actions...to get a 2nd or 3rd chance. Isn't that what the Bible teaches? Forgiveness? Even that argument doesn't hold up under scrutiny, but it's another way of looking at it. If you don't believe in God and put more faith in your partner, it's harder to get past, don't you agree?

Wouldn't have Curbelo quite so high until he's at least proven something in SS ball. What is the argument for dropping May so far? A lot of preseason lists had him 4th-6th, right? Jordan Stephens and Delmonico would be getting some strong consideration for the last two spots.

That would have given you a REAL and YOUNG core of Semien, Anderson, Saladino, Eaton, Thompson and Abreu...at least six players under age 30. You would have had a ton of positional flexibility with Desmond, Saladino and Carlos Sanchez as well. Now that would still have left Cabrera (leaving after 2017), DH and the catcher's spot up in the air, but you also would have had Phegley as part of the catching platoon and the possibility of bringing up Montas as a starter now instead of having to trade for James Shields. So we have to hope that Zach Burdi as a future White Sox closer was/is worth it. At this point, they might as well groom Burdi for that position and deal David Robertson because another year of him closing at a premium salary will have been wasted.

Greg, a big part of that was Victor Martinez being out until he PH in the final game. The typical "Sox killer" if ever there was one. The next night, 3 homers against KC. And Yost bungled a similar situation where he burned through Herrera and Wade Davis in a previous series...was forced to use Soria as closer in the first game of the 4 game series against the Indians in CLE, and ended up getting swept 4-0 (largely as the tone was set in that first game) and losing a 2 1/2 game lead in the process. But he adjusted and they were out from the very beginning to sweep the Indians back in KC this week. Protecting that 23-8 home field advantage.

If James Shields doesn't come out of it soon, that will be the perfect icing on the cake...spending $27 million that would have been better allocated across 5 other areas (DH/OF/LH power/bullpen/bench, etc.).

As Stone said, if he got it down, with the defensive positioning at that time...it was a sure run. But yeah, it put him down in the hole 0-2 and that was all she wrote. And Frazier continues to be a dead zone in the line-up.

We're still JUST ONE GAME out of 3rd place. Yay!
