  1. If you think about all the excitement for Rodon, Giolito, Cease, Moncada, Kopech, Jimenez and Luis Robert Jr.'s White Sox debuts individually...that might be comparable to the collective excitement for all the debuts this year. Lots of talent, but Colson Montgomery is still the only one with true star talent (if absolutely everything went right)...and that certainly was far from the case over the past 18 months, to the point many had already given up on him as a prospect. Lenyn Sosa has also taken 2-3 years to get to the point where he's at as well...and it's just a completely different feeling with this rebuild right now on the pitching front as well.
  2. Y.Gomez was the last "hot hand" in AAA remaining... With diminished Sept rosters, won't see hardly many of the AAA relievers at all. These days, more likely to go to the Arizona Fall League with Braden Montgomery.
  3. Based on Dan Hayes revising the story afterwards to maintain his access to the team...
  4. Meanwhile Keaschall .333/.965...only question is whether his arm holds up at second or he ends up at 1B/DH.
  5. Not a fun one to be in attendance for... Could see this one coming a mile away after late-game collapse and two most dynamic players out of lineup.
  6. Seems like a totally different team without Montgomery and Robert...so much for all the feel-good vibes.
  7. how the heck is Robert part of the long-term future with Boras as his agent? slider that didn't slide should be 50% pb 50% wp to be fair stone disagreed with wp scoring call, seemingly
  8. The inability to resolve/discuss the aforementioned list of vexing issues amicably is one of the primary reasons for the dissolution of Filibuster.
  9. Ray Sewage…left handed pitchers had more lives than a cat back then.
  10. Reddit “evidence” for unhinged message board Lol…oh to actually care about results of the games and TLR again [–]1987 Capbtmalon 74 points 4 years ago I have a hard time believing there's a more negative fanbase out there. I'm over on the Mets subreddit (red-headed step child franchises need to stick together) and even with all the s%*# they go through every year they still have fun. Lighten the f*** up people. Like Steve says, "This is supposed to be fun" [–]DerangedProtege[S] 32 points 4 years ago Agreed. Obviously most fans weren’t happy with last night, but it’s baseball. It’s one game out of 162. The Sox were 7-3 in their last 10 before last night. As for the fanbase, I remember reading a post on that site, where a guy was serious that he was going to move his wife and kids from Illinois to a different state (Nashville, TN) in light of Machado signing with the Padres. If you’re living in a particular place because of a baseball team that you root for, please seek help. Wasn’t that always just a joke???
  11. Firing JR? He cares a lot more about saving $18 million. At this point, how many season ticket holders wouldn’t renew based on the Robert decision? 25-50?
  12. Ideally the SS would hit doubles and RFers homers but both might be equally needed for the bullpen... I know I know we have MacDougal and Oppor coming fast.
  13. We're all tired of this Sox bullpen blowing leads...somehow worse than last season. Should be 15-16 games under .500 by Pythagorean but they're somehow 36 games under. Swing of ten games due to the pen, defense, hitting with RISP and Venable's questionable decision-making.
  14. Dylan Cease in the process of blowing another big lead and NOT going 5 despite being spotted a 5-0 lead against the Mariners. Should have traded him at the deadline...but not much of a choice with King and Musgrove out.
  15. Making a Taylor into a short reliever just hasn't worked...that said, should have been given a clean inning.
  16. Losses like this...constantly, really are discouraging to young teams. We will see how flat they come out tmrw in front of an empty stadium. Looking like Cubs might go from 9 GB to 4 1/2 in the span of ten days. Vaughn falling back to earth too.
  17. Brewers went from leading 8-3 to 8-8 late at home after blowing two leads over the weekend. Cubs' fortunes might be turning again... Rockies about to be 38-94. Sox record for futility seems safe.
  18. Jeff Keppinger Hahn Special first move as GM
  19. mlb team saves 30. White Sox 17 29. Twins 24 28. Rockies 25
  20. 17/37 lowest save conversion rate lowest amount of saves by far in the majors maybe the spread is 8-9 with 29th place
  21. Estevez leading majors with 35 saves now. Has a save in over half KC's wins this year. White Sox 17/37 in saves. Abysmal. Cue Lipman stats.
  22. KC will be just 3 GB of Seattle if tonight's scores hold up... 30 games left.
  23. Sigh. Ugly at bat there. Cue the board wars heating up after this one lol. Wins don't matter only draft position.
  24. At least Lee's presence allows them to use Quero. But LH side is weaker.
