2025 Division Series
“I think that the stadium is alive on both sides, right?” Castellanos said. “When the game is going good, it’s wind at our back, but when the game is not going good, it’s wind in our face. The environment can be with us, and the environment can be against us.” The criticism didn’t stop there. Castellanos added that they play “more tight” at home because they’re concerned about being “reprimanded” by fans. “When everything’s going good and you’re rolling it’s a [pain] to play here when you’re an opposing team because the environment is amazing,” he explained. “But if we run into adversity and the tide shifts and now we’re playing more tight because we don’t want to be reprimanded for something bad.” Nick Castellanos isn't endearing himself to Phillies' fans. Didn't Alex Bohm go through something similar last year?

2025 Division Series
“When the series ends at some point and the Phillies end up losing, there are going to be a whole lot of questions about the future of this team, how they’re going to go forward,” Rosenthal said. “Schwarber and Realmuto are free agents. You would think the Phillies want them back, they don’t have obvious internal replacements. Rob Thomson as manager, I would say he has done a good job. He is not the problem. But I would expect, if the Phillies go out, there would be some kind of change.” Ken Rosenthal might want to hold off at this point...especially if the Phillies can somehow manage to get the series back home.

2025 Division Series
ARod blames Cashman, nypost.com “Honestly, from the entire organization, [Aaron Boone] is the guy I would circle that is the least to be blamed,” Rodriguez said. “He’s got a lot of talent, but for me, personally, one of the worst constructions of a roster I’ve ever seen. You have three left-handed catchers, you have five DHs, you have a first baseman in and out. It’s just a very difficult hand for Boone. “And honestly, they were exposed against a much better Jays team.”

Who is the "we" here, lol? What did Getz/JR do now?

2025 Division Series
Can't imagine how much he will get in FA despite his age...while Santander serves as a warning case, still didn't prevent the Jays from getting to the ALCS. Ofc it certainly didn't help them much either.

2025 Division Series
Veteran managers always seem to go away from young players in the postseason. Might very well be the end for Boone in NY.

Looks like Smith had a very solid outing...

2025 Division Series
That might end up being the turning point in this game for the Dodgers...looked like a 5-1 lead was soon coming. Now just a bloop and a blast away.

Seth McClung revealing the 5 cheapest organizations he's played for
"The coaching staff—guys like Charlie Montoyo, Gary Gaetti, Xavier Hernandez, Joe Coleman, and Bill Evers..." Luis Robert apparently did not feel the same way...

2025 Division Series
Schlittler has been about as good as could be expected in this situation for NY... and suddenly they're in danger of losing the lead again... Not sure how Chisholm doesn't make more of an effort to keep that ball on the infield

Everyone with access to CHSN know about. Can see Schiffren even bringing it into random off season conversations.

2025 Division Series
"In postseason history, teams taking a 2-0 lead in any best-of-five series have gone on to win that series 80 of 90 times (88.9%). In Division Series with the current 2-2-1 format, teams to win both Games 1 and 2 at home have advanced 31 of 34 times (91.2%), including 20 sweeps. The most recent comeback in both situations came in the 2017 American League Division Series, when the Yankees rallied past Cleveland." Cubs still going against a lot of history here...

2025 Division Series
Didn't Peralta start on Sunday? Or it's just showing up on my phone that way because Sun China/US Saturday?
-
2025 Division Series
Do you throw Peralta on three day's rest/95 pitchers on Sunday...or hold him back for a potential G5 at home with rest??? Interesting decision.
-
2025 Division Series
Gotta trust Murphy there at this point with his decisions...as well as bringing Quintana in instead of holding him back to start G4.

2025 Division Series
"If everyone was fully healthy, we'd probably see the second of those. It sure feels like Chourio staying in left against the righty starter is a way to hide his balky hamstring in a corner spot, although the corner outfielders at Wrigley Field often have plenty of running to do in their own right. That does raise the question, though, of why we're not seeing Yelich play left, with Chourio slotted in as the DH instead. It feels like confirmation that Yelich, who missed a few days during September when his back flared up yet again, simply isn't available to play the field at the moment. He hasn't started there since August 27. With Yelich locked into the DH spot, if we also assume Chourio had to be in left, then the outfield question comes down to a few things. Starting Lockridge indicates that Murphy prefers him to Perkins, even though Perkins is at least as good a defender and would have the platoon edge. It also says that the team isn't currently treating Frelick as an option in center." https://brewerfanatic.com/news-rumors/milwaukee-brewers/brewers-nlds-game-3-lineup-raises-some-questions-hints-at-answers-to-others-r3867/
