  1. SEC SS from Alabama right now...Justin Lebron
  2. Colorado will be getting screwed over this time around...how is that a major market for baseball? It has always pretty much been those same top 8-12 teams that swim in the deep end of the pool. Contracts for an Arenado or Bryant don't change that.
  3. Went from bases clearing triple to two run single...
  4. Robert's throwing game has really fallen off the last couple of years...

You've clearly never had a thumb or oblique injury...then attempted to hit a 95+ fastball. Hamate bone breaks have screwed up entire seasons, for example.
  6. Maldonado this season...two hits last night and well over .200.
  7. 1B's Casas and Vaughn both struggling mightily out of the gate...being too aggressive going after first pitches, opposite of LuBob. Good thing Campbell was eliminated from the basepaths. Now 8/21 on season, Refsnyder/Romy both would start for White Sox.
  8. They just don't seem to trust Baldwin to play SS every day at this point...Maton also needs to leave the roster. Or Palacios.
  9. Baldwin 268/687 actually works if he was an above average fielder, fundamentally strong and an excellent base runner. Alas, still has a ways to go on the development side.
  10. Must have been talking to Youkilis lol.
  11. "Doesn't have a signature put away pitch" lol Middlebrooks 96.2 mph but can't put two on every inning. Cannon 4.19 era now.
  12. Sosa finally made a really strong defensive play. Will get lots of time at 2B now, one would think...
  13. 18 walks for Devers. Now Middlebrooks going after Cannon's control...
  14. No advance of runners...Luis, c'mon. Quero another RBI. Middlebrooks going on and on about Cannon not having a put away pitch lol.

Past tense. Now Meidroth out indefinitely.
  16. White Sox don't exactly subscribe to advanced analytics lol...
  17. Every Sox hitter at 678 ops or below except for newly-recalled Quero who's suddenly hitting in the cleanup spot. Vaughn sitting for Maton I just don't get...and Vargas playing every single game. Meidroth out as well. 18. Yes he was arrogant/condescending about beating the White Sox the entire series...
  19. 29. White Sox (previously: 29). I find it impossible to resist a proud mom cheering on her son making his MLB debut. Catcher Edgar Quero, the No. 6 White Sox prospect, played his first game this week, and his mom was there, interviewed by the White Sox sideline reporter. (This is forever a favorite part of MLB telecasts.) He reached base in his first at-bat and is a clear part of the White Sox future. Sheโ€™s going to get to watch a whole bunch of his games. mlb.com https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/video/edgar-quero-s-mom-talks-seeing-her-son-s-mlb-debut
  20. Recovery from a thumb ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) sprain, also known as Gamekeeper's Thumb or Skier's Thumb, can range from a few weeks to several months, depending on the severity of the injury and whether surgery is required. Minor sprains might heal within 6-8 weeks, while more severe cases requiring surgery can take 3-4 months or longer for full recovery...
  21. Desperately need Josh Rojas back just to solidify the infield defensively if Meidroth is going to be out for an extended period of time...in ST, that toe issue seemed like it would be a 7-10 day thing but has stretched on for weeks and weeks now into the season.
  22. Royals -24 Pirates -25 White Sox -26 Rockies -51
  23. https://www.espn.com.sg/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/5185140/year/2024/category/pitching The only thing I can think of at the moment is that Iriarte DIDN'T pitch against Minnesota once last season...but that's a pretty sketchy theory about choosing between Nastrini and Iriarte. https://www.espn.com.sg/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/4422905/year/2024/category/pitching Going through Nastrini's record, he managed to pitch against TOR twice but never faced the Twins, either. So that leaves the fact that it's probably closer to Iriarte's natural turn in the rotation...would have to double check that, but it's whatever at this point.
  24. B.Montgomery has all the tools except blazing speed, and he has a 60 arm, yes? And he's clearly fast/rangy enough to play CF in A ball, which is a big positive (so far). See where Bonemer's mostly ranked at 55 for arm and 50 for fielding...well, we shall see. It would be nice to actually have a SS capable of playing on both sides of the ball for once. Power is not the question, but the actual consistency of the hit tool and/or contact. Personally, I would have some reservations about Teel AND Quero simply because nobody can catch more than 100-120 games per year (at least post steroids), so that's going to hurt some of their positional value as catchers if they're sharing time there and at 1B/DH. It's not the biggest problem in the world to have, but not ideal either. As I've said a number of times, High A is really going to be the question for Bonemer...how well he responds there. I think the White Sox might keep him at Kanny at least until the June All-Star Break, but they might push him even harder than that. Time will tell...we shall see.
