  1. Because he hit into a DP? He's just an average hitter and below average fielder on a pretty bad team. Mason Miller warming. Vargas really playing well. Moncada-esque there.
  2. A's announcers impressed with Sox young pitching and assure us they won't lose 121 again. "They are decidedly better this year." Keep forgetting the drop off from Crochet and Fedde and non existent depth in AAA.
  3. Not exactly shades of Mark Buehrle or Pablo Ozuna.
  4. Half hit tool...half power. Being charitable. Sox standards are 700 ops is the All Star nod if it's not Shane Smith.
  5. Two fastest players on the team converging...Baldwin still getting acclimated to playing with 100% healthy Robert.
  6. Martin ERA 3.31. When do we trade him? Amaya entering for defense means he will be involved in at least one key at bat.
  7. We'd have to ask Bob if he's a big fan of Balta posts then...that would be the test.
  8. Would just walk him to face Vaughn... RISP troubles continue. Except for those rare games once a week where we score 7-10 runs all at once.
  9. Ten steals for Robert. On pace for 50-60.
  10. Dammit Robert... Must be sub 100 with RISP.
  11. Then their converted outfielders come up with throws like that...lol.
  12. Why? It would be nice...but this next string of games into early June is going to out them 15-20 games under .500 in all likelihood.
  13. 75-80 RBIs...1/2 a tool of hitting/hitting for occasional power.
  14. We probably haven't cut back on the creative accounting/finance dept. under JR at least. Couldn't find the list of all "cash considerations" moves since 2016 but we have to be Top 3 in all of baseball. And speaking of cash...Travis Jankowski just got a hit for TB lol.
  15. At least Robert can defend at GG level and run the bases/take the extra base. Walk occasionally. Vaughn is so frustratingly one dimensional.
  16. Short fence almost helped Thaiss...Sox blow a chance to take the lead. Bullpen games don't usually end well for the Sox.
  17. There's about an 80-85% chance that one will be the infamous Bob Sacamano...but I didn't bother to check today. In fact, I've seen that same name on political posts around the net so I'm not surprised at all since we're on opposite sides of the political spectrum, too.
  18. Tray...I'm just curious why you actually believe that JR would suddenly start spending like it's 2006 again...or even 2020-2022? He also hasn't shown any interest in investing even a single dollar into a new stadium...yet steadfastly maintains he can't compete in the existing one he approved. Even the TB Rays ownership team was investing $700 million into that project before it started to collapse after the hurricane damage to the Trop roof.
  19. Except I didn't read the article from the original post because I jumped in to the thread at the end...then saw it posted two days ago at SoxMachine like it was completely new information. Kind of like someone coming into the NFL Draft thread without reading what happened in the first second and third rounds...oh the horror of that. Fine you ultimately got your likes and laughing face emojis from the same 2-3 people lol. Tray might argue you're angry.
  20. Don't know...can't get the video stream now so stuck with audio.
  21. Martin with five in a row now. Game settling down.
  22. They're unlikely to overpay for Alcantara and not sure Mariners are actively trying to trade Luis Castillo still right now. Stuck in a holding pattern.
  23. You do realize it's rarer in baseball history than a perfect game? 19 times vs. 24? Schiffren probably is oblivious to it even happening since he doesn't care much for baseball history.
  24. Pitched out of it. Lots of base runners but hanging in there.
