  1. Iriarte still in 94's fly out to Taylor. Tovar second best hitter up or McMahon. Hit 95. A double earlier in game, hit 45 last season.
  2. Montgomery swung through an 89 mph FB. Twice. 89.1. Called strike 89.2. Challenged...just caught a touch of outside part of plate. At least 3 ks in 6 PA. Strike 3 looking. Very very close...good idea of strike zone at least.
  3. Even the largely inept Rockies are 3-1. Will fight with Sox and Marlins for worst record. Rojas looking inept against Gomber curveball. Flyout to left for Drury.
  4. Lots of swing and misses so far. Doyle their best player. 94.7 overthrew a bit going for K. Mostly sliders but has a mid 80s change up...blasted a FB to the wall but Taylor caught it. Doyle almost with second spring homer..
  5. Low 80s slider 81-82. Missing on a FB at 94.8. 62 160 pounds. Ground out pitcher to first.
  6. 94.6 94.9 to get the K on Sam Hilliard.
  7. They're really outdoing themselves with some of these early season lineups. Other than Colson Iriarte and some of the bench guys, not much to care about.
  8. Only feed I can get is Rockies' radio.
  9. Martin mostly 93-94.5 in his outing. Some lower 90’s but good results overall.
  10. Facing MLB hitters from an opposing team for the first time this spring, Roki Sasaki got off to an inauspicious start in a "hybrid-B game" against the White Sox on Tuesday. Slugging catcher Kyle Teel took Sasaki well deep to right field on the second pitch of the new Dodgers right-hander's outing. Teel is a 23-year-old prospect ranked No. 32 on Pipeline's Top 100 list and No. 2 on Chicago's Top 30. The matchup against Sasaki was in a simulated game with no fielders, but there was no doubt about where Teel's blast was landing. mlb.com
  11. Other than Daniel Snyder...and Clippers/Sterling and previous Suns owner, Saylor???
  12. Greg775 endorses this message.
  13. Even Balta would definitely take the Ishbia's over JR...unless he's really upset by the Bradley Beal and Durant deals out in the desert. And that was the brother moreso than Justin.
  14. Benintendi’s like…if you add up all the houses in Arkansas put together, it still comes out on top.
  15. Watch out for the Reds...Cubs' fans, they're coming up in your rearview faster than it appears. And Milwaukee won't go away easily with Chourio Yelich and Woodruff.
  16. Then you have Liberty Media too with the Braves...Malone. $22 billion valuation.
  17. Not over Cohen... "With a net worth of $21.3 billion, Steve Cohen is the richest team owner in Major League Baseball,"
  18. https://www.zonalsports.com/ranking/richest-mlb-team-owners&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiJjfbc_d6LAxW0JNAFHYIXNYQQFnoECAoQAw&usg=AOvVaw0nLFo3wQ19tsZSn_tbimGU How much does Matt have? Justin is around $5 billion plus. Matt? That would put them around the Rogers/Blue Jays for second place among/st owners....with Cohen first.
  19. Palette Schoenle and Adisyn Coffey are Cali's current obsessions. Prior to that, Outman and then Pages.
  20. I'm touched you've been following me since Chisox.com, ncorgbl and colsat46 or maybe it was 48.
  21. Needless to say, there is precedent for MLB taking their television relationships to the brink and somehow finding a way to salvage them. It certainly does not seem like MLB will remain with ESPN going forward, but there is technically nothing stopping the sides from reaching a new deal. There was no small irony in Manfred assailing ESPN and cable as declining properties unfit for Major League Baseball just hours ahead of ESPN averaging 9.3 million viewers for a hockey game. Indeed, while Manfred’s statement is broadly correct — any cable network is bound to be a “shrinking platform” in 2025 — ESPN has delivered several blockbuster audiences in the past year, from the aforementioned hockey game to Caitlin Clark-led Iowa against UConn and LSU in last year’s NCAA women’s basketball tournament (14.4 and 12.2 million respectively). Any of those games would have surely done better on ABC, but it is hard to look at those viewership figures and suggest ESPN held them back. (Also, how exactly is Warner Bros. Discovery supposed to feel after the comments Manfred made about cable? Losing the NBA is survivable if one holds onto other rights, but losing the NBA and MLB would put WBD in an unenviable position — and call into question its future with the NHL, which is up for bid the same year as MLB, 2028.) https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2025/02/monday-musings-mlb-espn-split-permanent-four-nations-viewership-recap/

  23. The intrigue: Two recent polls show that fans are not watching the new network. A Sun-Times reader poll found that an overwhelming majority of fans haven't watched a single Bulls or Blackhawks game this year. A recent analysis of NBA ratings showed the Bulls have lost 63% of their viewership year over year, the most in the entire league. Reality check: Both the Blackhawks and the Bulls have had terrible seasons, so fed-up fans may not be inclined to support losing teams. Attendance at Bulls games has dropped, too. Yes, but: These franchises have had losing seasons before. CHSN declined to give an update on Xfinity negotiations and wouldn't give Axios their subscriber numbers for their streaming service. Zoom in: The Sox are making moves to strengthen their broadcast after much criticism last year. They revamped their reporting team to include Brooke Fletcher and Connor McKnight while retaining legendary color commentator Steve Stone. That may not matter if fans can't get, or won't search for the channel. The bottom line: The White Sox may lose more than just a record amount of baseball games. They are in jeopardy of losing their fanbase, too. https://www.axios.com/local/chicago/2025/02/24/white-sox-broadcasts-chsn-ratings https://chicago.suntimes.com/bulls/2025/01/31/bulls-blackhawks-sky-chicago-chsn-courtney-vandersloot
  24. CHSN - Make A Deal NOW We have been Comcast/Xfinity customers for 13+ years. One of the reasons we have continued with cable services is because we love watching sports. We are avid Chicago Blackhawks fans living in Indiana. Not being able to watch the Hawks this year is causing us to want to discontinue cable services! We are already unhappy with the price increase we've experienced in the last several months and partnered with the difficulty in speaking to a live person willing to help us with that cost, this could be the final straw for us to finally cut the cord! Do your customers a solid and make a deal for CHSN! That alone would be more valuable than the joke that is Xfinity Rewards!! EDIT: Just got the email that I'll see a bill credit of $3.75 for losing NBC Sports! Keep your $3.75 a month and GIVE US CHSN! Wonder how many e-mails they're getting begging and pleading to watch the White Sox, lol...? Probably a total number less than 100.
