  1. $2000 USD up to $20000 is pretty much the average range for the majority of necklaces bracelets and rings.
  2. With a payroll of just $1.2 million, WNBA teams are immensely profitable with the new media rights deals they're in the process of working on...but they need to be liberated from negotiating together with NBA parent teams in many markets. That unwieldy structure is worse than the current MLB national media rights packaging even.
  3. Well, there are only 13 WNBA teams in the world...and one unique combination just happens to be owned by the future Sox majority owner's brother...and both brothers share a unique passion for basketball as well as baseball. Also, Chicago is the biggest remaining media market without a standalone 10,000+ BB-only stadium for the WNBA. Granted, it would make more sense to simply use the United Center...but that's arguably too big of a stadium to fill. And JR seems for some reason dramatically opposed to the idea. That said, utilizing GRF for soccer might be more logical. But not really exciting/interesting...and the stadium location and lack of any other activities around it at 35th and Shields makes it less palatable. Finally, the idea of a Bears/White Sox partnership seems to have completely evaporated into the ether.
  4. "only 7,246 miles...24,901 miles to go around the entire world once and end up at starting point" Jay Cuda
  5. Or they can try to tie in with the Chicago Sky/WNBA and a new stadium for them too....like the Mercury and Suns in Phoenix. Or the Reinsdorfs can change their perspective on the WNBA lol. They're already going to be at 15 teams with four cities (including Payton Manning/Nashville) fighting for spots 16 and 17 four to five years down the road from now.
  6. The highest the White Sox were ever valued by Forbes was $2.19 billion or $2.09 billion....pretty darned sure about that.
  7. Didn't get to TaylorStSox posts on Bauer and Clevinger yet...managed to sneak in a trip to FRED Jewelers just now for a necklace. So not searching all night...all Sunday here in China.
  8. That's what Chicago and Reinsdorf could have had if they played their cards right...more lakefront attractions to go along with a shiny new downtown-adjacent stadium. And people think I was just pulling the Melody Hobson 30% minority partnership completely out of my imagination...
  9. JayMoney8518 OP •2y ago "Jerry, George, and Mellody had dinner in a private room at Steak 48 a few weeks ago. It was all Sox talk." "let's just get wacky with it. LucasArts stadium is where they're moving and it's on the location of the museum the city missed out on and it's Star Wars themed" https://www.reddit.com/r/whitesox/comments/15ymkya/in_a_few_weeks_you_will_understand_why_i_posted/&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwiv4Ivvz9mLAxVQlq8BHZLiN_0QFnoECAcQAg&usg=AOvVaw33aHZ-6hH13Z0APQAxG9VG Never mind... The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a museum founded by filmmaker George Lucas and his wife, businesswoman Mellody Hobson.[2] Once completed, the museum will hold all forms of visual storytelling, including painting, photography, sculpture, illustration, comic art, performance, and video. It is under construction in Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California.[3] The museum is expected to open in 2026.[4]

Also, most everyone in this tier will move around over the next few weeks as early-season impressions formulate, so don't get married to this order. #10 Willits (son of former big leaguer Reggie) is a 6-1 shortstop with great on-base skills, but limited in-game power.
  14. But he can still hit. In his first at-bat in a major league exhibition game, Keaschall laced the first pitch he saw into right field, driving in two runs and leading the Twins to a 3-1 victory over the Braves to open spring training play. “It was cool. I just went up there, he hung a changeup, and I just got it out front,” said the 2023 second-round pick, who came up as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning, with the bases loaded, two outs and the Twins trailing 1-0. “I’m just trying to find a way to score a run. I saw the ball really well.” startribune.com/sports
  15. Yes, that's the Reifert/Boyer position now, but makes little sense if he'd already met with community leaders and former Twins' players seeking more buy-in and potentially adding someone like a Joe Mauer to bid investment bid....to walk away from outright owning a team for the current situation in Chicago. There has to be more to it than simply feeling it was a better investment or closer to home.
  16. "This has been rumored for several months now and *supposedly* there is a tie-in to Lucas' wife via an interest in Ariel Investments. Additionally, JR's two sons have been reported to be seeking an independent piece of the Sox pie. The latter has some credence as JR has addressed the point. The separate Lucas/Ariel tie-in is a rumor that has yet to be verified." SIAP An article re:this subject: https://www.awesemo.com/sideaction/30-percent-of-the-chicago-white-sox-have-allegedly-been-sold-to-mystery-buyer-for-a-boatload-of-money-bjs/ It was supposedly a 30% stake...was also discussed on Chicago sports talk radio at that time.

  19. Uribe had unbelievable hands and one of the best arms in the game to make up for that...
  20. Definitely since the Sale Eaton and Q trades....
  21. "If the Cubs are bringing in $550 mil (3rd in the majors) then the Sox should/could be about $450 mil (similar to Braves' $473 million). They are not even close ($270-280 million, at the bottom with the A's), which is why they need a mass cleaning in the FO. (and those are direct numbers for the Cubs...not indirect related to surrounding Ricketts' funded entertainment complex). The South Loop would be a swing for the fences type deal but the current site redevelopment could get them to their goals with little investment outlay." soxmachine comments section Or why not build a new Sox stadium TOGETHER with a Star Wars-related anchor (Hobson/Lucas project) park adjacent to it? A little "big picture" vision here would help.
  22. "Right, the one potential buyer that was made public leveraged that info to further buy into another team that he already had a stake in? Sounds like a billionaire doing billionaire things to me." twinstalk The one point over there about Ishbia bring able to leverage a new stadium project as opposed to Minnesota (already having one) is yet to be seen...as well as the literally Related/78 area with retail/condos/casino/restaurants and clubs. Living in the Chicagoland area already.. will definitely have thought this future ballpark issue through. Maybe even with Melody Hobson as a partner/strategic investor? And then basically free tv to try to grow back market share from the Cubs Marquee model as the second rebuild starts to come into focus. Tray will definitely be kept busy.
  23. We'll see how many of those plays he can make ranging far to the right and either planting or doing a jump throw like Anderson.
