Some are just looking for entertainment/diversion...others connect the team to the past or time spent with family and friends. I guarantee the mood will pick up significantly if there's legitimately going to be some type of clarity forthcoming and a success ion time table provided. Ambiguity/uncertainty/lack of clarity...diminished hope and frustration lead to dark humor reflecting cold inexoranble reality, simply because 41-121 is such a ridiculously bad performance for a non expansion team. But the reason sites like WSI are no more is because posters felt like they were constrained in expressing opinions and had to suppress negative thoughts for performative fandom just to please the mods. Now we've swung over to the other side of the pendulum where even the most optimistic posters have become "Jaded and cynical" in their 30s and 40s.
