Not having C.Montgomery in the lineup, starting Acuna at SS...Gonzalez fourth and God knows what's going on with Davis Martin? This is like never giving Caitlin Clark the last shot...until the players simply devised their own play and ignored the coach. Well not quite that bad....but how handicapped do they have to be?

Eaton the year before he was traded and Avisail Garcia had one really strong season as well.

Does Mason Adams really have more value to other teams than the Sox? If you replaced Sandlin/Fedde with Hagen and Schultz....you still have hardly any depth, and what are the odds both those young guys would make it from some point in June through September? Schultz will hit his season total of 84 innings from last year pretty quickly.

Just don't know if he's one of those players that needs to be on the field to produce AND help lead the team. Gonzalez is a weaker fielder and hasn't been much of a power source...at least yet.

Not very…think they would rather trade for a veteran back of the rotation piece like Civale Flexen Martin Perez Fedde this year than have Hagen get torched because of walks, erratic command and pitch counts/short outings just like Sandlin’s last two or Painter against the Sox. Delmers would be fine, but other teams have the ability to easily outbid the Sox with higher quality redundant milb depth.

Somewhere around $120-125 million as a floor seems at least plausible. The more likely it seems as October approaches, the more movement you'll see taking on a contract like an Alcantara or Luis Castillo becomes pragmatic for the bottom 12-15 payroll teams...since the upcoming FA market is filled with potential overpays and only Skubal and maybe Sato at the top of the class and maybe another 8-10 Tier1A to B guys.

Arraez would be buying really high now...compared to last season in SD.

Still just averaging 3.9 in their last 14 vs Sox at over 5. Starting pitching and bullpen... Kay and Quero were going back and forth on calling pitches...kind of unusual.

Sanzatela the definition of a failed starter but can give you 2-3....and might not hurt to get him out of Colorado to boost his confidence.

Dumb to not take your time with Braden. The question isn't who is better now...it's what best serves the Sox longer-term 2027/28-30 window of contention? 61 combined AA (2025-26) games and just 25 or one month at AAA? Barely a half season at the two highest levels?

Who do the Sox have to trade for Detmers, though? Can't even part with Gonzalez at this point. Would have to be mostly A ball prospects...not sure what worth Bergolla Mogollon Jeral Perez have...same with Wolkow/Zavala. Lottery tickets...
