Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
JR most assuredly won't love it. Especially if there's pressure exerted by the media and fanbase to build around him and Colson/Teel.

Not exactly a rousing defense of the biggest contract in franchise history. He was a decent defender and runner until around 2021-22 when the aging curve started to hit.

Benintendi actually came through. Can Dominguez? Taylor's two lock down innings the key late.

AZ announcers really enamored with Colson at SS...and Martin's five pitch mix. dBacks going next to high attitude Mexico City to face los Padres Sat and Sunday. "You could throw 100 high fastballs to McGuire and he would swing at all of them." haha

Sox BA up 208 to 222 just this series still have issues with the bottom of that lineup, though- Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May
https://global.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/48567469/white-sox-murakami-homers-5th-straight-tie-rookie-record "I've run out of things to say," White Sox manager Will Venable said. "Obviously, he continues to put himself in a really good spot to take good swings on good pitches. He's making great swing decisions, making a ton of contact, and when he hits it, he hits it really hard." Venable added: "Even the singles he's hitting are hard. The damage is incredible, and it's impressive to watch." Murakami is the 13th MLB rookie since at least 1900 to go deep in five straight, according to ESPN Research. The Japanese first baseman also tied the White Sox's franchise record, a mark shared by A.J. Pierzynski (2012), Paul Konerko (2011), Carlos Lee (2003), Frank Thomas (twice in 1994), Ron Kittle (1983) and Greg Luzinski (1983).- Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May

Concerns about hitting vs. velocity/elite pitchers, but we've been hearing that for ages. Merrill Kelly, for example, isn't bad at all, has always been an above average starter.- Munemania: AL Rookie of the Month of May

"Nevertheless, the Mets are at a place with Acuna where it doesn’t look like they’ll get much at all from him. Re-grading this now, a C- is the best we can do. A large part of it comes from the fact the Mets were able to shed salary, open a roster spot, and make 2024 memorable without him. Chances are, if this trade gets another re-grade in 2026, it’s going to be worse." - Game Thread: 4/23 vs Arizona (GM3)
