Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture
caulfield12 replied to maxjusttyped's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If it is Santos and he's your future closer...it just goes to show how far they are away from Liam Hendriks leading that bullpen by example. Or it says something about the quality of pitchers down there that he's running laps around them with let's say at best a questionable work ethic. -
Sox, Tribe, Peacock at High Noon Sunday, EDT.

Like Peralta Padilla Cronin? Lambert might be closer again if Santos gets sucked into the "sleeping rookie in the bullpen" media vortex.... -

Burger and Remillard and Scholtens have been just a few of the players who really care and then it's almost like a bad thing to be punished for on this team if you hustle all the time and play like a real professional baseball player is supposed to...like it's showing up the vets who are basically just kind of coasting along and collecting paychecks and not rocking the boat so to speak. Grandal should have been DFA'ed if they wanted to send a real message about accountability ... because no other teams were willing to pay to employ his services. How long is it before Colas is dragged down into the abyss...it has to be fixed before C.Montgomery is recalled in approximately 18 months (April/May 2025) or earlier. -
https://nypost.com/2023/08/06/white-sox-tim-anderson-breaks-silence-on-jose-ramirez-brawl/ Probably don't want to read the comments unless you want to see this turned into another version of Angel Reese vs. Josh Donaldson/Caitlyn Clark bringing back past "hard tags" controversies... For real...for real. It seems Tim just wants to take on the the whole world these days. Whereas another player (Tatis) has kind of embraced playing the role of the heel and having fun with getting booed ...Anderson is taking all of this way too seriously and it's simply fueling the fire to make things worse and keep the story alive now that the NY media has gotten involved. Part of it's obviously due to Keeynan Middleton as well as the fact that the Chicago media doesn't or can't hold anyone in the Sox organization accountable. It's going to be one of these deals like Zuckerberg vs. Musk where Tim wants a rematch or is only going to end up getting hurt in real life proving how much of a real man he is...when the team is on the road, it's almost inevitable out in public somebody is going to try to "square up with him" or provoke him while out at a club in order to go viral on social media.

Keynan Middleton rips White Sox 'no rules' culture

“I wouldn’t say anything bad about the pitching staff,” Middleton said. “We went about our work the right way. I think the rest of the team struggled to do the right thing.” Pedro Grifol landed the White Sox job because of his reputation for being a good communicator. After losing the locker room within his first year of managing it is clear he is in over his head. It's pretty clear that they haven't gotten serious about dealing with bad attitudes from the position player side when only Abreu and Burger are the ones that are gone... -

Abreu Keuchel Kelly Lynn...one of those guys will be next to clear the air. -

It was the tag on Rocchio the game before…and bullying Arias verbally to where the umpires had to tell him to knock it off. -
Ramirez says, "Anderson disrespects the game..."
caulfield12 replied to Lip Man 1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
“By Paul Hoynes, cleveland.com CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The legend of Jose Ramirez continues to grow in Cleveland. The Guardians lost to the White Sox Saturday night, 7-4, but Ramirez knocked Tim Anderson on his rear end at second base with a haymaker that would have done Muhammad Ali proud. That was the highlight of a 14-minute brawl between the two teams in the sixth inning at Progressive Field.” The story will only get more play if the Guardians miss out on the postseason as Ramirez will surely get at least a 5-7 day suspension…if not even a bit longer before appealed down due to first offense. -
Creating a diversion for the team’s poor play…instilling hope and positive PR.

See Lynn in LA, as every scout predicted. Just get him away from the Sox clubhouse and he’ll be just fine. -
Different/previous game. I'll try to find the replay. https://www.mlb.com/video/brayan-rocchio-doubles-1-on-a-line-drive-to-right-fielder-trayce-thompson?cp=MIXED&p=0&q=PlayerId %3D [677587] Order By Timestamp DESC The CLE argument was that if infielders start pushing runners' hands off the bags on slides by chopping at their hand/wrist then someone's going to get hurt eventually. Also, Anderson seemingly picking on rookies like Rocchio and Arias in this series.

Lance Lynn 2-0 lol
-
Now we will get at least one more week of suspended Anderson making Twitter headlines daily while Jose Ramirez quietly lets it go. Probably will go to NYC to appeal since he has to prove that he's right or justified... https://bossip.com/2403103/tim-anderson-jose-ramirez-knockout-fight/

It's about like Arrieta a couple of years ago as well as Vince Velasquez.

Now Amed Rosario is a cleanup hitter for the Dodgers...pixie dust.

Can't believe Q had under a 3 ERA again but hasn't pitched much. PTAC was right all along on Rodon's mechanics. Just have to be thankful White Sox aren't on the hook for that deal. Watching Giolito underperform probably isn't helping the extension case much either.
-
Division is probably over with Twins' comeback, Thor and Ramirez likely out at least a week when they can least afford it.

Reported to admin for politicizing baseball threads.

You and Greg have one thing that unites you in common.
-
They didn't play for CLE too...
-
I'm just repeating what was given as one of the reasons provided for the confrontation....that and the 1B umpire giving a warning to Anderson to lay off rookie infielder Arias.
-
No that goes back to Rocchio tag where his arm/wrist was pushed off bag and somehow NY validated it was a legal tag.
