QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 09:08 PM) Yay for facing the Royals bullpen. We've rocked 1/1. Make that 2/2 after a no doubter. I facing the Royals bullpen.

Welcome back Mark.

Of all the funny Stewie moments, that is far down the list for me.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 07:13 PM) Wow, a groundout to the pitcher. Amazing. He didn't completely pull the ball.

I have a Subaru Impreza with 4 wheel drive and I like it a lot. If you want to go up in price range you can shoot for a WRX.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 05:09 PM) You have absolutely no room to talk to say 8-9 wins at Mizzou is not a lot. They got 8 last year and the entire offense is returning. I should say I don't expect 9 and would be very happy with it. Still though, on paper it's reasonable to think they could improve upon last year which would be 9 wins.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 12:42 PM) The last time we played the game was very close. I would expect similar results this year, though you are obviously favored. Either way, I'm glad we brought this game back. Yeah, absolutely. Mizzou needs a better non-conference schedule and this is a nice step towards that. I'm not expecting a lot out of Mizzou this year (8-9 wins at most, the defense is a joke), but that should be a fun game.

Southside Report: Run Support, Pitching, and Firey Debate

Erstad sucks at the plate Jason. You gotta stop with your Angel love. You've always hated on players for bad attitudes (in this case Anderson) and it's no surprise you took this stance. -
Hopefully I am going to this game. From watching the Royals a bit so far this year I honestly think they might be worse than last year and I didn't expect that. On paper they looked better, until I looked at their bullpen and realized their best reliever going into the year was David Riske. They have two guys I hadn't heard of until 2 weeks ago. They do have some young pitchers that could make names for themselves, but their bullpen hasn't been good. Also, Alex Gordon has no business being in the Majors yet though he has shown signs of improvement.

Illinois' best defender doesn't have a first name, someone please give him one. 9/1/07- The slaughter of Illinois vs. Missouri in St. Louis. I can't wait to see another Illinois football team with moderate expectations for some stupid reason play like trash again.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/22/07 (L)

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:35 PM) Once again, Amazing how losing this last game can shade your view. If the Sox won Game 1, lost yesterday, and got the W today, everyone is happy. We win the 1st two, and lose this one, and it feels like a bad weekend. I'm not calling anyone out, I feel the same way, just odd how it works. I'm still satisfied with the weekend. We beat up Detroit and that's great. Not to mention it took a freak occurrence to send it to extras. We just ran out of pitchers. From the guys used in recent days to the game going 12 we were left with Masset (who pitched well) and Logan (who sucks ass). Masset was pushed as far as he could go and the offense didn't score. It sucks to lose this one and waste a good start by Garland, but we took 2 of 3 and I have confidence we can continue to dominate Detroit. -

Ok Boone, back to AAA with you. -
QUOTE(bigruss22 @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 07:28 PM) So what do you guys know about him? Seems to me a good decesion to go after a Konerko-Thome replacement now, so as to develop him and be ready when their contracts are up. I know that he is absolutely destroying college baseball this year and if he had repeated his sophomore year last year he would have been a top 5 pick (well not counting in the Boras factor). Also, assuming he is still being represented by Boras the Sox probably won't pick him.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 03:41 PM) I agree it's still early, but McCarthy to me is no different than McCullough and Broadway in the sense of lanky guys with average stuff Broadway is listed as 6-4, 190 pounds. He shouldn't be lopped in with those two in terms of lankiness.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 21, 2007 -> 05:23 PM) Isn't he too old to be considered a top prospect? I'm not being snarky -- I love this guy, from what I've read -- but isn't he, like, twenty five? He turns 25 in August.

5-4 over Detroit when the Sox didn't look good. GREAT job by the bullpen.

That was way too nerve wracking. If only the Sox would have scored in the top half to allow me to breathe easily. Oh well, huge win. That was our most favorable pitching matchup of the series IMO, and it sets the tone for the series. -

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 07:37 PM) (4) the batter reaches first base safely on a fair ball that has not been touched by a fielder and that is in fair territory when the ball reaches the outfield, unless in the scorer's judgment the ball could have been handled with ordinary effort; I've never seen that called, and they won't change it. It's a hit, who cares?
