Villacis seems like he could be decent.

If you searched for the players' name he should be there. 10 years doesn't seem too long ago. Don't expect the stats to be very thorough though.

2004 College Football Trash Talk Thread

Go check out the bowl pick em contest in the contest board for those interested that haven't made picks yet. -
This is awesome news for the Falcons. Who is now the favorites to make it out of the NFC?

Well, we missed the New Orleans Bowl, however anyone who would have picked North Texas is a complete dumbass. I guess we won't update it on the site like usual, however, I'll be happy to post updates as bowl season continues. I might make a site on geocities simply because I could save myself a lot of time using their page builder as opposed to updating through HTML as in previous years. Anyway, here are the bowls: Champs Sports Syracuse vs. Georgia Tech (12/21) GMAC Memphis vs. Bowling Green (12/22) Fort Worth Cincinnati vs. Marshall (12/23) Las Vegas UCLA vs. Wyoming Hawaii: UAB vs. Hawaii (12/24) MPC Computers Fresno St. vs. Virginia (12/27) Motor City Toledo vs. UConn Independence Iowa St. vs. Miami (OH) (12/28) Insight Oregon St. vs. Notre Dame Houston: Colorado vs. UTEP (12/29) Alamo Ohio St. vs. Oklahoma St. Continental Tire Boston College vs. North Carolina (12/30) Emerald Navy vs. New Mexico Holiday Texas Tech vs. Cal Silicon Valley Northern Illinois vs. Troy Music City Alabama vs. Minnesota (12/31) Sun Arizona St. vs. Purdue Liberty Louisville vs. Boise St. Peach Miami (FL) vs. Florida Outback Georgia vs. Wisconsin (1/1) Cotton Texas A&M vs. Tennessee Gator West Virginia vs. Florida St. Capital One (Citrus, I'm a purist) Iowa vs. LSU Rose Michigan vs. Texas Fiesta Utah vs. Pittsburgh Sugar Auburn vs. Virginia Tech (1/3) Orange USC vs. Oklahoma (1/4) The tiebreaker is the correctly picked bowls in reverse order (ie Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, Rose, etc). It's always nice to OD on bowl games before diving into college basketball full time and then ODing on that in March.

Manning is overrated based on the fact that he has insane pieces. He is one of the best QBs in the game. The fact that he has 3 quality WRs and the leading rusher in the league makes it easier for him to do well. Any stud QB who can lay in a pass to a WR down field could have this many TD passes. Manning doesn't even take hits either. Hell, the only way to defend Manning, imo, is to get a couple late hits/personal fouls and hope to rattle him one way or another.

I would have to think that the Sox aren't going to ever consider giving BMac the starting job out of ST. I'm thinking that ST will be more of a time for the Sox to determine whether to put him in AA or AAA to start the year. If he sets the world on fire in ST I think the most to expect is that he will start in AAA and would be the first candidate to be called up if the original 5th starter fails. As Rex said, some AAA time could be useful for many reasons. Also, BMac is still very young and there is no need to rush him along any more so than has already been done. I'm in the group that wants him in AAA to start the season, especially if he does well in ST. However, a bit of AA time wouldn't hurt him and like Rex said, he would need some AAA time before hitting the majors. If the Sox decide to be patient with him this season, he shouldn't be with the Sox until July or later. If they decide to rush him along, he would probably be with the Sox around May.

Yeah even I liked that game. Every other game has really sucked. I hate baseball video games. They all blow.

Bulls are going to the playoffs!!!! Ok maybe only if they played all their games at home. However, with Boston losing tonight the Bulls will only be 2.5 games out of the 8th spot if they win tonight.

Last few years? He has had only 1 bad year by his standards. He had a 3.3 ERA in 2003. I agree, I'd take Zito. It's worth a shot at a title if nothing else. If we acquire Zito and he does very well I'd have to think we are in the running for a WS. Of course, this is pure speculation, but just saying...

Northwestern 53, Seton Hall 44 What the hell is going on? Thompson must really be making a difference. -
The Pittsburgh game is underway, therefore you can't pick that game.

We needed to fill that hole, however, I don't think the Sox needed to give up so much.

GBN remains undefeated going into action against also undefeated and highly ranked Thornton. I'm going to the game, which will be at Hillcrest as part of their 8 game "Shootout at the Hill", and it should be crazy. I'm pumped up. -
Urlacher is overrated but he isn't the most overrated player in the league.

I'm going to try and get this thread active again. And I'm going to do it with the best hand you could imagine. I had already made a boatload of money on flopping trips and a king high flush (people were calling my bets with those hands!). I see pocket 9s, I think I was first to act, I raise. I bet around a dollar or so. Everyone folded except for one guy who went all in with just short of 2 bucks I think. I call. It's 9s vs. A 4 offsuit. Not a spectacular matchup. We show the board and K Q J 10 of hearts are on board. I see no aces or 4s on the board and things are look good, but it was quick. We process it and realize there are 4 hearts on board. Somebody blurted out, "It goes to the highest heart. Ryan [the other caller] has the ace, he wins." Another person realizes what just happened. "He has the ROYAL FLUSH!!" I look down at my cards, then I scream "I had a straight flush and LOST!!!" I had the king high straight flush, he had the royal flush. After losing every other hand that I had good pocket cards I cashed out early while I was ahead. But the best 2 hands in poker head 2 head, sick.

Wait, what the f*** is this. They didn't even make the World Series and now we are talking about them being the AL All-Star team? Beat the f***ing Red Sox first. f***ing bunch of chokes.

I'd take 5th in a heart beat. I don't know if it will happen though. Ill, MSU, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Iowa are all clearly better imo. Others probably are too, but best case scenario NU finishes 6th. -
Shutout: EA Sports corners NFL video market

Disney owns ABC, but yeah same idea. -
I'm thinking the Sox will have the tiebreaker (tie as in same/similar offers from 2 teams) because Clement has said he likes Chicago and wants to stay in the city. I figure 3/27 might need that tiebreaker. JR won't sign pitchers for more than 3 years anyway right? I wouldn't mind seeing 3/30 because I think that's what they will need to pay to get him, purely on a hunch.
-
Anybody else read that title and think that their mom would do the same? I'm merely speaking of the title. My mom wouldn't have beat the s*** out of a kid for me unless she really felt it necessary.

No one seems to care but NU beat DePaul tonight. Thompson made his debut and wasn't great, but he is still 5 times better than any big man they've had since Evan Eschmeyer. Thompson is solid on offense and can matchup with big guys (which is more than NU has had since Esch), but his defense and rebounding wasn't great. Still it's huge to have a guy like him in there. It can really open up the offense. I don't think the Cats have had a guy that's in the post all the time on offense since Carmody has taken over. He must love this guy. Wow, look at this post. NU basketball sucks, but they won! Back to the Illinois swarm that is this thread.
