2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 16, 2007 -> 11:10 AM) Offensively Anderson was a POS all season. Yes, his splits improved and yes I was one of his biggest defenders but the guy was absolutely horrific at half of the game (the offensive half). There haven't been many rookies I've seen look that bad for that long of a stretch (well at least not ones with all that supposed talent). The guy had completely no clue what he was doing at the plate and even late in the season when his average went up he still looked pretty ugly up there. You trying to start a ruckus? I can't wait til baseball.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 05:40 PM) We got the first glimpse of the booking lineup for Al Gore's "Turn fossil fuels into volume!" anti-global-warming concert this July. Link. Supposedly will get to 100 before the lineup is filled out. Well, I like the Foo....

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 07:11 PM) Have you had intercourse with a penguin in the past 24 hours? If so, I'd consult a doctor immediately. Does it have to be intercourse? Can it just be "contact"?

I whipped this up. If you're heading to spring training or watching the games on TV, you can use this. I'll try and keep it updated with new roster moves as they happen.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 10:28 AM) We would mash you again......and again and again and again. WE are doing our usual kill everyone in the last part of the conference year and look like the best team in the nation in the big 12 tourney routine again. Old news, change the overall picture Coach Giggles, these kids are playing hard for you. ISU will always turn it up a notch for KU in basketball, like they do against Iowa in football. It's nothing to lessen what the Jayhawks do, it's just that since the Orr days we always play Kansas a bit harder, and we seem to get lucky every once in a while. I haven't even hated a KU player since Gooden and the Iowa boys.....I love the rivalry and I hope the two teams are always the class of the North.

Dan Hawkins' rant
QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Feb 15, 2007 -> 09:21 AM) Well, Nebraska is improving, Iowa State will improve with Chizik aaaaaaannnnddd I believe the Buffs were 2-10 this year, soooooooo I'm guessing it's not as easy as you might think. Someone has some faith in Mean Gene. I'd think KState is on teh way up if I wasn't so sure Prince will eff it up somehow. Mangino can't get over the hump. Mizzou is and always will be Mizzou. I sure hope the future of the North is ISU and Nebraska. I'm getting we'll see a little bit of what Chizik is made of this year.

LOOOOONNNNGGAR. I'd love to snap up a win over KState this weekend, but it won't be easy. We can still get as high as a 7 seed in the Big 12 tourney, but being seeded anywhere from 7-10 is a deathwish in this conference. I just hope KU is the big seed in our little pod. We won't play the 3 or the 4 seed, so I'd much rather we end up playing KU than A&M.

People will be yearning for Garcia when he gets a standing ovation for bloodying up his ganja hand by pitching through a blister.- Official College Basketball Thread
Heh, ISU beats OU 58-51. We gave Longar Longar so much s***. Me and a few guys just started chanting "LOOOOOONGAR. LOOOOOOONGAR." He gave us the stinkeye. We later got stared down by an assistant coach.- Drinking Buddy

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Feb 12, 2007 -> 11:50 AM) Pretty sad when this is what you can hang your hat on...go clones. I'm excited because we have an actual PG (who could win Mr. Basketball in Wiscy this year) along with *****Craig Brackins.- Flying Under The Radar
CYCLONE WRESTLING IS BACK The #3 Clones slapped around the #2 Mizzou Tigers last night, 27-12, without one of our starters. We've lost twice to #1 Minnesota this year, but we're so much further ahead than where anyone thought we'd be. We've got a legit shot to win a national championship in something for the first time in like 10 years. Oh, Jas, Iowa is ranked tenth.- Official College Basketball Thread
So, I don't know if anyone noticed, but Durant was held in check by a 6-4 senior walkon guard from ISU who only played the second 10+ minute game of his life against Texas.- Tenative Knights Roster?

Yup, I grew up with 2% too. On a side note, I now apparently go to THE Iowa State University. Our former players are apparently also piggybacking off of other schools, as Ellis Hobbs apparently went the "The U" in Ames.- UFO's here...there...and everywhere!!!
