Another example we all likely forgot about was that Woods kid that we got in the Gonzo deal with Pittsburgh. Dude got lit up like a Christmas tree in his first Charlotte outing but has since gone something like 11 games 1.43 ERA and double digit strikeouts. That may be another example of taking on a project and his coaching staff bringing results.

Thorpe threw better than the line looked, after watching his outing. I won’t be shocked either way if they want to see another start or if he’s starting for the Sox on Sunday. Likely depends most on how other variables shake out in the coming days. Only discouraging things were the lower velo and him not going at least 5. Encouraging things, continues to get swing and miss while only facing soft contact.
