At some point over the last week, I referenced how I had read that many feel he wants to sign with a team that hasn't had a Japanese star in the past. Someone asked for a link but at the time, I'd forgot where I saw it. MLBTR referenced this again today:

I'll add this... I've seen Avi make some completely bonehead baserunning blunders and noted a few last year. That said, I did feel that last year he was more focused even on the bases and didn't fall as hard as in years past. I won't offer any stats.
