QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 03:38 PM) It was what a 4-0 game? I would have let him start that 8th inning at the very least and then pulled him if he let a guy on. I said it at the time and I still say it lol I thought it gave the Angels the lead? No you're right, it did tie it, but it was 5-1 at the time. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/70087564/v335...d-slam-off-sale low change-up away. Ugh.

J-Roll with a wallscraping HR.

Austin Jackson seems to do a pretty good job on inside fastballs. He just got busted in on the hands and hit a line drive to 3B.

QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 11:30 PM) Here you go https://m.imgur.com/qRjXvpx Lol, not saying I didn't believe you, but was just wondering what your connection was to SCEA. But I'm glad the CF scoreboard got it in! Not too concerned about LF and RF ones because they are still the same size and same spot, and you don't see them 95% of the time like you would the CF one.

Odds that Chris Sale gets traded?
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to LeftField's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would be interested to know what is more likely, Sale gets traded or KW leaves either by force or by choice. I honestly am not sure. Probably KW leaving. Would have less adverse affect on the fanbase and less impact on future Free Agents deciding not to play here. -
Frazier had a very quality barehanded play today. Danks looked great. Albers looked great. Nate Jones looked great. Umpire admittedly had a wide zone today.

QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 02:18 PM) I mean, the opt-in to PvP is the fact that there's a section of the map where PvP is allowed, and everywhere else has none. All the gear I use has come independent of the Dark Zone anyway, so it isn't necessary for the best stuff. The rogue system is one of the things that's unique about the game and something they pushed heavily before it came out. It's the most interesting thing about the DZ and it's potential is being wasted now. I understand, but another unique thing about the DZ in addition to rarer items is the idea of having to extract things, and the AI being much harder. I would have fun in the DZ doing the extraction process for valuable items and having to fight the AI to extract them WITHOUT the danger of worrying about other humans deciding to rob me.

If Bryant is starting, how many HR does he hit off Danks today? 2 or 3?

QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 10:31 AM) In regards to the AI being repetitive, as somebody who's level 30 and is in the endgame, the AI starts getting more aggressive and using more interesting tactics. They gain access to skills such as the ones you use. The Dark Zone is gated, so if you go in as a level 10 you won't run into 30's. I'd recommend going in and trying it out a bit before you hit max level. The reason is that you have a separate DZ level that you need to purchase items in there. I waited until the end so I couldn't buy anything until I hit DZ level 30 and I just have tens of thousands of DZ credits burning a hole in my pocket. There are serious balance issues in the Dark Zone. There's almost no reason to go rogue. Theoretically the main draw would be to take somebody's loot, but good stuff drops from AI so frequently that the chances of you getting something off a player that is better than what you already have equipped are pretty low. So you're left with the huge experience and DZ credit penalty when you die as a rogue. They need to lighten those penalties substantially, not just a little. That's music to my ears because I have 0 interest in going rogue, and I would be very pissed off if someone came after me for no reason. There should almost be an option like GTA 5 has called "passive mode" where you opt in to PvP or not. Maybe if you choose passive mode you have 25% less chance of finding a rare item or something like that.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 12:41 AM) I haven't tried the DZ yet, but I'm level 26 in the game. Holy s***, lvl 26?? How many hours do you have in? I probably free roam more than most people, but at like 14 hours in I am on level 12, and that's because I leveled up twice tonight doing 1 mission w/ random guys.

Ok, I REALLY need people to team up with in The Division. My buddy has played like 2 hours in the 10 days he has had the game, and the Dark Zone is impossible alone.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 08:49 PM) Eye to keep a name on in the late late rounds: P Eric Palmer at Concordia University Chicago He's a buddy of mine. Sox fan and having a pretty good season so far. Sits 90-92. Tops at 93. + slider Curveball shows plus, but hangs flat a bit Average change Sox have shown interest in him at games. Padres, A's, and Giants were at his last start. If anyone wants to follow, he's on the mound tonight against Concordia Texas. http://www.sidearmstats.com/concordia/baseball/ Keep us updated.

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 05:14 PM) Seriously, did any of these idiots read what KW actually said to LaRoche? The Cubs players/Manager might be dumber than their fans. Patrick Mooney @CSNMooney 58m58 minutes ago Joe Maddon: “We’re all for kids on the infield. They do have their own lockers. We get them whatever toys they would like Gordon Wittenmyer @GDubCub 2h2 hours ago Arrieta on LaRoche/Sox: “It kind of makes me mad to see this kind of thing happen. I want my teammates’ kids in the clubhouse.” It's easy to say that, until you are entering Year 2 of someone's kid being in the clubhouse every single day.

Does Adam Eaton worry about baseball?...

QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 12:38 AM) There are a lot of assumptions being made by people in this thread, my gosh. One question that nobody but me presents ... what's so bad about having kids around a MLB clubhouse when batboys and batgirls are kids as well? This is not good. How many stories out of spring training are this negative? Bring back LaRoche and his kid. This team doesn't need this distraction in trying to get off to a good start. I'd love to see the Sox 3 games in front of the field by May 10th, not 8 out, which would be very very bad. I truly despise Adam's hitting style, his overall game and his beard, but this is just not right. Do you honestly think the White Sox bat boys/girls have the same exposure/access to the team that Drake did? Seriously?
-
I would bet it was about the other players being afraid to be "adult" around the kid more than anything else. LaRoche is religious, the players know that, so you aren't going to play all your vulgar music, tell your raunchy stories, be loud and curse, and walk around naked/clad with a kid there all the time. I get how this could be very tiresome for teammates. Ever hang out with all your buddies and then they bring their kid/parent/girlfriend around? You feel like you have to censor yourself or tone it down or watch how you act. It's just not the same. I could see that leading to an awkward clubhouse and CLEARLY the focus this offseason was to bring in high-energy, loud personalities and I can see them clashing immediately.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 12:14 AM) Did you hear what he said right off the bat? Something like "9 out of 10 times I am going to side with what is sentimental" Oh, nope, definitely did not. I was confused why he decided to take that shot. But I get it now, thanks.
-
Although Scott Van Pelt just sided with the White Sox on ESPN, he started with "This is the 1 time in 10 that I think the White Sox are RIGHT". Weird preface to his comments.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 12, 2016 -> 05:48 PM) Too bad they don't let Hawks fans in anymore No this was 2 years ago when their "Keep the Red Out" campaign was in effect. Last year we did St. Louis who has the same policy.
