I give the new Macklemore & Ryan Lewis album a 6.5/10 right now. Nothing like The Heist, that I would give a 9.5. It has some really solid songs in the first half, but the 2nd half lacks a bit. There are a couple songs in there I will end up skipping all together.

I know I haven't checked this thread in a couple days, but I promise I haven't had a birthday yet! I'm still 25, not 26 as I have seen a few times back and forth. So we hung out again tonight. I found out why she said I may not get to meet her parents. She has had a really really rough childhood. Besides the fact that she has 2 jobs in addition to school and works 65 hours a week during the summers, she told me another reason why she has had to grow up so fast and mature as much as she has. Without getting TOO specific, her dad is abusive. Abusive to her and her sisters, especially one of her sisters who on Mother's Day he apparently "beat the s*** out of" and "choked her out at the dinner table" when she told her mom to shut up. At which point my friend took her little siblings upstairs and locked the room to protect them. I can't believe she told me all these stories and other terrible family stories tonight without crying, but she said those moments pretty much stripped her of the carefree childhood life and caused her to grow up and essentially live without any connection to her parents, other than living in the same house, and working at her father's business for one of her 2 jobs. She said she pays all her own bills and plans to move out as soon as she graduates to put herself through college and start her own vet clinic eventually. So yeah....she's had quite the rough life so far and maybe this will kind of help you guys believe me when I say you would never know she is 18 by the way she acts or talks. Unfortunately shes had to grow up because of traumatic family events and self-preservation.

Good stuff guys. So like I said, she's 18 and I'm......25. What's interesting is that I was also talking to a 19 year old girl, one who is about to turn 20, and she acted WAY younger than this 18 year old. The nearly-20-year-old actually SAYS L-O-L, and say "bae" and "gucci" and "fleek" and those terms that kind of make me cringe because I remember how young she is. The 18 year old, doesn't say any of those things. She IS in fact in HS still, but has 2 jobs in addition to school. I don't know if that somehow has matured her, but if you had a conversation with this girl, you'd think she is probably 23-24. So that part I enjoy a lot. So I guess I'll just keep playing it by ear.

I'll keep this brief and not go in to much detail, but.....how many years younger than a guy is "too young" would you surmise? Or is it probably more likely based on a sliding scale. Long story short, I am talking to a girl younger than me and while I feel weird about it, no one I work with seems to care. It's my family/friends that I worry about. I'm almost afraid to introduce her to them for fear they will question her age. For anyone who doesn't know my age, she's 18. How old would I be if I was too old for her? I'll hang up and listen.
