  1. If Shaw had used the R-word on camera, would he have gotten suspended?
  2. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 01:00 AM) You know something? I think it's a great idea Yeah, that's actually not a bad idea at all. Rollins has been fine on D, but I would have to think Saladino much more range and a better arm. And I trust Rollins and Dino with a bat far more than Avi.
  3. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 11:46 PM) I wouldn't be surprised if Blackhawks management has a talk with Andrew Shaw. Bad behavior all around to close the game out. Sounds like homophobic slurs, flipping off, and instigating fights. Video: https://mtc.cdn.vine.co/r/videos/6C8A6CE234...9841655e554.mp4 That's actually the 3rd different video you can find of him saying "f***ing f*****". Not that I really care much, but the Hawks or the NHL might.
  4. Lefty, speedy, good defense.....and he gets sent down in favor of Sands....sigh.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 18, 2016 -> 03:46 PM) You can. I'm in Arizona watching live tv from Illinois on the app. Not CSN or MLB Network I do not believe.
  6. I want to say Robertson struck out something like 10 of the first 19 batters he faced last season. EDIT: In April, he struck out 17 of the 29 batters he faced in 8 IP.
  7. QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 09:48 PM) Finally upgraded to X1 from Comcast. The operating system is nice and generally smooth/easy to use, but the ability to stream almost all live TV (including Sox games) to my iPad is the killer feature. Ironically for Comcast, that feature alone is going to allow me to ditch my second box all together, because I've only kept it for live sports in the bedroom. Now I'll just use the streaming service and save $30/month. Less money for Comcast! I wish you could stream those live channels outside of your home WiFi network though. THAT would be the real game changer.
  8. Psssshhhh. This is the last time I ever get excited about a National League slugger who wore a red uniform, and had 4 letters in his first name. Those guys are terrible. WILL HAHN EVER LEARN???
  9. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 17, 2016 -> 12:59 AM) It took them about 5 minutes to review it. Calling it blatant is a stretch. I'm not saying it's the wrong call, but we've seen enough of those situations in the past, either way fans would be up in arms. I'm saying after the fact, they had nothing to complain about because that last camera angle made it obvious.
  10. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 03:25 PM) Chicago fans would be doing the same thing if it were the other way around. Also, I'm sorry for you living in St. Louis. The Shaw interference play can be complained and argued about. But the off-sides play was pretty blatant and obvious. Nothing to debate.
  11. Really need to put up 3 or 4 runs early for me to breathe easier about Danks out there.
  12. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 11:30 PM) I was thinking the same thing tonight on several occasions. Yeah, Eaton gets to a TON of balls that Avi never had a chance to get to. I feel very confident about any ball hit to CF, RFC, or RF. AJax and Eaton cover some ground.
  13. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 10:38 PM) I'm not sure if I will ever understand hockey rules lol. It look like his skate was over the blue line but I assume since it was in the air and not on the ice he was considered off-sides Any part of your skate as to be IN CONTACT with any part of the blueline or behind it. The reason he was offsides was because his trail skate came off the ice (therefore no longer in contact with the ice ON or BEHIND the blue line) before the entire puck crossed over all parts of the blue line. At least that's how I've always understood the rule. I'm sure some website will publish that section of the rulebook soon enough, but if my interpretation is correct, the call is actually quite obvious when you see that VERY last replay they showed after the reversal had been made. All prior angles made it hard to tell if his skate was off the ice or not.
  14. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 03:10 PM) There's been a change of heart. Philip Anastasia: NJSIAA spokesman said Jason Groome can return May 1 or his team's 12th game, whichever comes first. So he'll likely miss two starts I hope he does get suspended, and falls to #10, and the Sox get a gift pitcher in their laps for the 3rd yr in a row.
  15. QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 10:11 PM) Didn't see a tread, so... http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS Wow, what a cool link. I don't think I've seen that site before.
  16. If it's not his 16,000 sq ft house in Scottsdale, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT. I mean, seriously, look at this monster. http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/paul-k...se/view/google/
  17. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) I am trying to get Jose Fernandez instead of Walker because you are right. Just not sure how much more I can realistically get If you can get Jose Fernandez and any other decent piece (to cover Jose's injury risk) I would do that.
  18. We didn't win, but honestly, I feel fine about it overall. Team played pretty well I thought, just didn't get the breaks or lucky bounces. I'm not worried.
  19. Only reason I'm ok with the Hawks games starting at 830 is because I get to watch 4 or 5 innings of White Sox baseball before the Hawks start.
  20. Just offered someone this trade.... Jake Arrieta and Bryon Buxton/Kolten Wong (his choice) for Stephen Strasburg and Jose Altuve I've been trying to move Jake since I drafted him. I love Altuve, my offense has been horrendous, and I like Strasburg in a contract year. Plus, he's a Cubs fan, so I think he would love to have Arrieta.
  21. Zootopia was really good, but I can't see "young" kids liking it too much. Seems more for like 8 to 10 year olds, not like 5 year olds. FULL of social commentary, but a lot of great references for adults, including a Breaking Bad scene that was awesome.
  22. QUOTE (ptatc @ Apr 12, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) If it is one of the really advanced ones, it will automatically return to its take off spot if the remote is turned off. These arent necessarily small items. A parent of one of the cross country runners has one that follows a GPS transponder. His daughter runs with it and you can watch the whole race from above. I wonder if that parent bought the Lily cam. That thing is sweet. Was supposed to retail for $500 I think. That was a year or two ago that I saw the YT video. Wonder if it ever "took off". EDIT: Holy s***, $34M in PREORDER sales. Sells for $800 right now, $1000 when it's launched. Still some amazing tech though. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2497681,00.asp
  23. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 12, 2016 -> 03:05 PM) More specifically, Nathaniel Stoltz said he was built like Trout physically. Body comp, but not tools comp. I'll find the exact tweet, but he said something like "He's the closest athlete physically to Mike Trout that I've ever seen".
  24. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 12, 2016 -> 10:59 AM) Lol why were you quoted? You didn't say anything wrong. I would have thought it was an accident if he hadn't had said "both of you".
