  1. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 01:53 AM) This was a very, very good trade. Far too early, but it's hard for this to ever be a bad trade, given the cost.
  2. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 12:02 AM) All I really care about with pitching prospects is peripherals, especially at the stage Adams is at. Not concerned in the slightest about the hits. All I look at peripherals as well, but just K/9, BB/9, and HR/9. H/9 would be nice to have low, but if the other 3 are good, i'm not worried.
  3. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 08:36 AM) I refuse to pre order until I have a parking spot with access to an outlet, otherwise it would be pretty stupid to have an electric car. If that means I have to wait longer then so be it, I probably won't move until then anyways. Do you have an incredibly long commute every day? Or do you mean a parking spot at home?
  4. I finally moved Arrieta. After we AGREED upon this deal (Arrieta + Corey Seager for Syndergaard, Kinsler, and Addison Russell), he kept waffling back and forth for days, not giving me an answer or randomly changing his mind back and forth, we eventually settled on this... I trade: SP Jake Arrieta SP Michael Wacha OF Colby Rasmus (picked him up waivers this week) I receive: SP Noah Syndergaard 2B Ian Kinsler 1B Joey Votto No idea why this guy decided to "throw in" Votto. I never even brought him up, as I ASSUMED he would be untouchable (Depsite a poor start). Really excited about adding Kinsler as Kolten Wong has been atrocious for me. Rasmus has been great, but I JUST got him and 4 of his 5 HR have come in 2 games, so I am banking on a couple hot games inflating his totals. Syndergaard is a step-down, but maybe not that much if he keeps racking up the Ks, and Arrieta doesn't. Really didn't want to lose Wacha, but if Votto rebounds at all, and Kinsler keeps being a top 2 2B in baseball, I will have come out very very good in this deal, I believe.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 10:16 PM) Nope, serious. All his peripherals have been great in his minor league career except hits allowed. His command might be too good and throws too many strikes. I would say learning to throw LESS strikes is much preferred to someone who needs to learn how to throw MORE strikes. I'm not worried in the slightest about Adams.
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 03:35 PM) It keeps coming up in my mind too. I think because we've had so so many breaks the last few years that we expect to get our guy. Unforunately were probably too far down the pecking order this year. I believe I am on the record in previous year's threads as saying very early I felt we would get Rodon and then Fulmer, and they both happened. Rodon was a big shock (When I said it, consensus slam dunk #1), although I think Fulmer was projected withing range of the Sox pick, maybe around #5 though. Corey Ray, as of now, seems around the Rodon likelihood, but probably not as likely as Fulmer was. It means nothing obviously, but I want to be on record for the 3rd straight year.
  7. Wow that was a cold game to be at. But at least I got to see a win, and a crazy ass triple play! Got to love those $19 bullpen bar seats.
  8. I get to pleasure of watching Saladino play today. Hellz yeah! Last time I saw Saladino in the field with Quintana on the bump, he did this witchcraft.... http://m.mlb.com/video/v372526283/chccws-s...=Tyler+Saladino
  9. Corey Ray is a guy I keep thinking we will get for some reason. Unlikely it seems, at this point though.
  10. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 09:48 PM) Audi's been killing it lately, love their lineup. Next car will be a Q3 if I don't get a Tesla Model 3. If you haven't pre-ordered the Model 3 by now, it's going to be probably 2020 until you can get one.
  11. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 11:31 PM) Sox have been shut out of the Cuban market since Abreu became a star. Dodgers and Red Sox basically threw money at them left and right and priced the Sox out of the market. Don't get your hopes up. Yeah, I have zero expectations the Sox will sign any latin talent anymore. Just assume the Dodgers will get them all.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 02:17 PM) Anyone else get 326 for the Sox math thing? Frank Thomas jersey number Times Sox world Series titles add Sales 2015 K's Subtract # of 1 run games in 2015 for White Sox. I got 320
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 02:11 PM) I can't believe Adam took a 3-1 fastball down the middle and then swung at a junk curve on 3-2. Come on. Yeah, I actually thought he would swing on 3-0. Can't believe he didn't tee off on 3-1.
  14. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 01:34 PM) I have a feeling Brett Lawrie is going to crush Weaver today. QUOTE (almagest @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 01:52 PM) Lawrie CRUSHED that. A little higher and it was gone.
  15. I have a feeling Brett Lawrie is going to crush Weaver today.
  16. QUOTE (The Gooch @ Apr 21, 2016 -> 12:54 PM) Is there still a good John Danks? Yeah, he works at Camelback Ranch in Arizona.
  17. Danks is going to get absolutely torched today. Hope the offense can put up 5 or 6 against Weaver's 85 MPH lob-ball fastballs.
  18. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 11:29 PM) The league has made it clear that sexual preference is off limits. But mental handicaps are not? By the way, I'm not referring to any particular players or instances of the R-word being used, just kind of curious as to what groups the NHL might decide to stand up for, and what other groups they choose to ignore the slurs for.
  19. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 11:05 PM) Probably not on camera because the F words he used are really easy to lip read, "retarded" probably isn't. But the homophobic thing is a problem in this NHL, which has been about inclusion moreso than any other major sports league. This is strongly against their message and the NHL made that 100% clear. I don't mean would he have been able to get away with it, I just mean if we KNEW that he was calling a player the R-word. Where do you draw the line with offended groups of people?
  20. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Apr 20, 2016 -> 11:11 PM) I checked it myself, day-by-day. It's true. The White Sox have three team shutouts, and the Astros, Angels, Indians, Rangers, Jays, Rays, Royals and Tigers each have one. In the land where pitchers hit, there have been way more. Just remember how the Dodgers started their season. Blows my mind.
  21. Cargo would make the best impact, but I chose Bruce because he will come a lot cheaper, and still gives us a lefty power bat (albeit not as good as CarGo, but also cheaper economically, not just cost to acquire).
  22. Woah, woah woah.....We are the only team in the AL who has had more than 1 shutout??? That can't be right...like at all.
  23. OSFM 1.5 Rosters are out, for all you The Show franchise-goers. Must have, IMO.
