  1. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 8, 2014 -> 12:18 AM) Goddamn it's good to have Justified back on TV. So many guest stars. I saw the credits in the beginning and as really interested to see the character they would all play. And then Amy Smart comes in future episodes? Nice. Michael Rapaport though. What a s***ty accent. It's hard to take his character seriously with that awful accent he's using.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 7, 2014 -> 08:20 PM) Blue Jasmine was great. Funny how you call it dumb but said it had great characters and performances. It was the definition of a character piece. I just didn't care about the storyline...like...at all. She used to be rich, her husband was a fraud, now she isn't rich, is f***ed up mentally, and lives with her sister in a life she is trying to get away from. She could have been shot in the head or married that guy in the end and I wouldn't have cared either way. Apparently it's just not my type of movie I guess.
  3. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 8, 2014 -> 01:13 AM) No more MLB 2k series meaning only Sony consoles will have an MLB game. A lot of Xbox users are going to save some money. 2K baseball was just horrendous.
  4. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 7, 2014 -> 03:01 PM) I like it but they wouldn't go for that QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Jan 7, 2014 -> 03:05 PM) We'd hang up on them. Well now you KNOW it's a fair trade! 1 person thinks the Sox would decline, on person thinks the Padres would. Interesting. Oliver projects him as a 3.7 WAR next season, citing very good defense and maintaining his awesome walk rate (while increasing his K rates, though).
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 7, 2014 -> 03:01 PM) I like it but they wouldn't go for that Only reason I think they may is because their #1 prospect is C Austin Hedges. I think Grandal and Castro are in similar situations. Good young hitting catchers being pushed by even younger catching prospects.
  6. Spitballing here. What about Erik Johnson and Alejando De Aza to the Padres for Grandal?
  7. Sony, just casually dropping a game changer on us today.... Playstation Now - cloud gaming for ALL devices http://www.theverge.com/2014/1/7/5284294/s...ow-cloud-gaming
  8. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 7, 2014 -> 03:12 AM) Curious why you don't trust Asus, as they are held in extremely high esteem throughout the tech community and have pioneered Android in the tablet format. They made the first mainstream convertible. To each his own of course, but I wouldn't want you to miss out on a good product for you at some point. Just based on people I know who've had trouble with their laptops. I guess that was probably 5-6 years ago, so it sounds like they've improved, I suppose I've just had that idea associated with the brand since that time. If I get a real job with a real paycheck I'll look in to it.
  9. So Blue Jasmine was dumb. No idea why it got such high marks from critics. Yes, it was well acted and had interesting characters, but I couldn't care less about the story, and nothing of real interest happened in the story. I could sum up the entire movie in about 2 sentences and you'd miss nothing. I don't get it.
  10. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 7, 2014 -> 05:48 AM) I'm not going to play Moral Police but I don't see how you can watch movies on a computer. I'd rather pay and see it on a big screen if I can. I'll rent Documentaries and Indy films and watch them on my ipad on the train rides but would prefer big screens more often than not. I watch them on a 52" TV. Sometimes a the 32" TV in my room if it's real late at night and I may fall asleep.
  11. The Dual-OS tablet/laptop convertible I think is the only way I would ever consider getting a tablet. I don't need one now because I have 2 laptops and a phone. And I can't live without Windows, simply relying on Android OS to accomplish major tasks, so a device that can be both a laptop AND a tablet AND have fun apps using Android AND allow me to do real computing things through Windows is perfect. Maybe in a couple years when companies I trust more than ASUS are making them I may get it a go.
  12. QUOTE (beck72 @ Jan 7, 2014 -> 12:01 AM) You'd part with these guys for Castro? Seriously. My point is the sox don't have the depth in prospects to acquire a guy like Castro now. Not after trading Reed and Santiago, as the sox expect the young guys to fill in. The farm system is improving but not at the pace to trade away key pieces for a potential 2 year guy in Castro. No, I wouldn't. I'm just telling you they certainly have the pieces to get a trade done, they just don't have the flexibility and depth to live with that kind of trade.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 11:22 PM) Tebow predicted 35-31 FSU I guess maybe he's good at something.
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 11:05 PM) Glad SEC lost but not a fan of Winston. Exactly how I feel. Winston sounds like a scumbag.
  15. QUOTE (beck72 @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 10:44 PM) The sox don't have the top prospects that would take to land Castro, esp. If you take Q out. Depending on who develops after this year, the Sox might. IMO, the sox aren't in the position to acquire a guy like Castro right now. Sure they do. Jason Castro is not some untouchable young player. It appears Houston wants Max Stassi as their future anyway, so that already lowers their leverage power. Are you telling me if the Sox offered Erik Johnson, Tim Anderson, Courtney Hawkins, Marcus Semien, Daniel Webb, and Matt Davidson that the Astros would say no?
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 12:56 PM) Who is Cleuluis Rondon? As others have said, we got him in the Peavy deal. It was Avi, Rondon, Montas, and....Wendleken I think. From what I remember, the 3 minor leaguers we got all have 1 plus-plus tool. Rondon has his insane defense, Montas has an electric 100 MPH fastball, and Wendleken has....a great curveball maybe? Or maybe it's just that his name resembles former Cubs 3rd baseball coach Wendell Kim. Maybe that was it.
  17. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 08:37 PM) I would assume the reason he (or she) took the picture because they were at the scene to cover this while it was going on, and the blonde stopped to take a selfie right in front of the Post people. Ok, that makes more sense now. Although even the angle in which she is taking the camera makes it hard for me to think he was actually in her background.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 04:40 PM) Think Chili meant that's odd that the pic of the girl has her and the phone in the shot. Usually a selfie would be her with guy in back ground, not her phone in the pic. Right. We aren't even seeing the picture that she took, because there is a no way a camera phone can get that close of a shot, unless maybe she had that ridiculous Nokia Lumia with the 41 MP. So really what happened was a NY Post reporter took a picture of a girl and there was a potential jumper in the background? Why was he taking this picture? The whole "story" just sounds so stupid and pointless.
  19. Blue Jasmine and a "medium quality" version of Wolf of Wall Street are online now.
  20. Next week's episode of Shameless is up early. They go to a Bears tailgate.
  21. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 04:32 PM) i binge-watched the first season of Ray Donovan over the holidays. Pretty awesome. I feel like that show is better through binge watching, because there were a handful of really slow episodes during the middle of the season and I found it hard to remember to watch it every week. But it ended pretty strong.
  22. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 02:07 PM) She knew damn well what was going on, everyone who was there did. After someone from the Post asked for her name, she booked it. Glad they decided to plaster her face on the front page anyway. Wait what? That picture was part of a news story? I'm so confused.
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 6, 2014 -> 11:30 AM) If a pedestrian is driving anywhere, they are confused Civilians**
  24. Watched Bad Grandpa last night. Loved the actual scenes where they are messing with people, but all the stuff in the middle between the boy and Johnny Knoxville pretending that its real life was just stupid. We know it's all fake. No one actually cares about the storyline, we just want to see people get f***ed with, and those scenes were great. When his balls fall out at the strip club, and then when he s***s on the wall.....hahaha, oh my god.
  25. Currently in a state of emergency. No pedestrians are supposed to drive on any major roads. Tomorrow is supposed to be -16 with a windchill of -48. I'm no marine biologist, but I am pretty sure if I go outside my blood will instantly freeze.
