QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jan 4, 2014 -> 10:38 AM) ZONK! YES. Lone Survior. Sorry. It's pretty fantastic, you're going to enjoy it.

If we are bringing in any former catchers for be our next coach, let it be Sandy Alomar Jr.

Carrie, Bad Grandpa, and Dallas Buyer's Club are now all online in DVD quality.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 3, 2014 -> 06:55 PM) Yeah, but we're not talking about Donald Glover as Childish Gambino, we were talking about Donald Glover as Donald Glover, the actor. And as an actor, Community made him famous, which also aided his popularity as Childish Gambino. Then yes.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 3, 2014 -> 04:18 PM) Mind blown. I had no idea Troy was Childish Gambino. Not sure how I'm just now figuring this out. Lol, case in point. Thank you.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 3, 2014 -> 03:54 PM) Unless they get a QB, they are just another team. Bradford made some strides this year, I have no problem going back to him. Before he got hurt, he was on pace for just under 4,000 yards, 30 TD, and about 9 INT, with a 61% completion rating. He had career highs in every category prior to the injury. Obviously they could improve at QB, but after what I saw I'd like to see him get 1 more year. -

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 3, 2014 -> 03:44 PM) This is a pretty fun tool. Not sure I'd put too much stock into it right now, but hopefully they'll continue to tweak their simulator picks until it becomes a little more realistic. But definitely fun to mess around with. I ended up with: 1. CJ Mosley 2. Timmy Jernigan 3. Dom Easley 4. Aaron Lynch 5. Victor Hampton I tried to get a Safety, but kept finding better value at other positions. And I wanted a developmental QB, but couldn't make it work. I did end up with ridiculous DL talent, though. That is cool. With the Rams I got.... R1 - DE Jadeveon Clowney R1 - WR Sammy Watkins R2 - OG Zach Martin R3 - DT Timmy Jernigan With the Cowboys I got.... R1 - ILB CJ Mosley R2 - DE Michael Sam R3 - S Calvin Pryor I love what I got w/ the Rams. But the Cowboys picks didn't fall in to place very well. I probably would have traded down my 2nd and 3rd RD picks. -

My Rams are once again going to have a great draft thanks to that awesome trade with the Redskins that allowed the Redskins to draft RG3. So far the Rams have used those picks for.... DT Michael Brockers, CB Janoris Jenkins, LB Alex Ogletree, RB Zac Stacy, WR Stephen Bailey, and now the #2 overall pick this year, who could be DE Clowney, OR the Rams could pull a 2012 trade all over again and offer up the #2 overall pick for a few more 1st RD picks down the down. Maybe drop down to the Jets pick and take a WR like Mike Evans. And they would STILL have their #13 overall pick as well. tl;dr, As a Rams fan, RG3 is my favorite player in the NFL pretty much. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 3, 2014 -> 12:00 PM) Top 10 coldest games in NFL history http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/09000d5d824da7dd Hmmm...I could have sworn the Bears/Packers game I went to in like 2007 would have been somewhere on this list...I'll have to look up the temp... EDIT: Nevermind. It was actually 17 degrees w/ the wind chill. Not nearly as bad as I remembered it being, considering everyone's beers were freezing over before they even got back to their seat to drink it. -
Seriously, I've been playing Grid 2 for 5+ straight hours. The graphics are beautiful. EDIT: Haha, I just finished my first tournament hosted by a new racing company that I have become the main driver for. After the championship ended the game goes "Da da da, da da duuuh", and the actual SportsCenter intro opens up and it goes to the real sports desk with an anchor talking about the future of racing and this new company we founded. They then bring in an expert and talk about the topic. This is all live-action filmed content from SportsCenter. It's so cool. It's the s*** I always wanted with those ESPN 2K football games, but instead I get it in some random racing game I had never heard of 24 hours ago. This game is dope.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 10:44 PM) Wow you like to move goalposts. If I was picking one of those three for a fantasy team, I'd pick Romo. If I was picking one to give me a ring, I'd pick Flacco. I would take Romo over Flacco by a large margin, and maybe even Cutler over Flacco. -
I just downloaded "Grid 2" on PS3 for free with PS+. Man, what a better game than I was expecting. I haven't played a racing game since....Need for Speed Underground 2 for PS2 I think. Grid 2 is deeper and more involved than I figured a FREE game would (Only free with PS+, though). I looked it up on IGN, and it actually did get an 8.0/8.2 rating, so others agree, I'm just surprised I had never heard of it. A decent amount of races take place in the streets of Chicago, which is cool, and despite giving you a REWIND clock to use, the game is rather difficult to master. All the cars are real, there are tons of real sponsors, and there are even billboards that say "ESPN" on them. One of the cooler aspects is the presentation that shows what people are tweeting about you, and people texting each other, and it shows multiple Youtube pages full of videos that fans took at these events. Easily for the free download if anyone needs a new game to play. http://www.ign.com/games/grid-2/xbox-360-82121

Oh my god, a new season of Impractical Jokers, f*** yes. That is easily the best prank/reality show on TV. The promos make it look so stupid, but the show is pure gold.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 09:41 PM) I just knew him as the guy from the bro rape video. If he wasn't on national TV nearly every week the past 4 years, a lot of people wouldn't know who he is. Being on national TV helped people know who Donald Glover was, not Childish Gambino. He did that all on his own. I still to this day only know of 1 person who watches both community AND listens to Childish. Everyone else either knows him as Troy from Community and had no idea he raps, or they know him as Childish Gambino and had no idea he was an actor or a comedian. I'm a big fan of all his different careers, and I still don't even watch Community. Not saying anything about the show, I'm just saying he separates the two (or three) careers pretty well.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 09:30 PM) I wouldn't say it had very little to do with it. Did you know who Childish Gambino was in 2009, before Community aired? Community definitely helped his popularity. Well, I knew who Donald Glover was back in 2006, from his Youtube sketch comedy group.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 08:55 PM) No, Im pointing out the hilarity of you making fun of Bears fans for the Cutler contract when he has a very similar resume and contract to Romo. The fact that you were trying to make this point to your "friends" who dont even post on this site makes it even more ridiculous. Oh, so the only way to judge players in based on their playoff successes, apparently. Romo and Cutler only have 1 playoff win each. So they both are clearly awful quarterbacks. Joe Flacco, on the other hand, he has a ring, so he's obviously much better. Got it. This conversation was over before it even started. -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 08:41 PM) So Community was pretty good. I thought it was funny they had Troy make fun of himself (Donald Glover) for leaving in the middle of the season after Community made him pretty famous. Community had very little to do with his popularity.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 08:50 PM) Youre the one who came in here to "make fun of Bears fans" So you're argument is Romo isn't better than Cutler because neither of them are good in the playoffs? Or because they have similar contracts? I don't understand your role in this conversation at all. And I said my Bear's fan friends who made laughed at me for the Romo signing, not Bears fans on this site. -

Hawks stole a point tonight. Islanders could have scored 6 goals tonight. They had so many great chances that they messed up for themselves. Crawford made some great saves, but the defense tonight sucked. -

This Cutler deal now gives me the chance to laugh at all my Bear fans friends who laughed at me when Romo got paid. Romo's deal nearly looks like a bargain compared to Cutty's deal. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 06:49 PM) As soon as you can tell us with 100% confidence who it is. Exactly. So lets all talk about players the Sox may take, or guys we want the Sox to take and stop saying, "Take the best player, period." That's basically telling everyone to shut up and stop worrying about it until draft day and the #3 pick is on the clock.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 05:36 PM) Chris Sale is signed to probably the most team friendly contract of any pitcher in the majors, and frankly it's probably the most team friendly deal of any player in the majors right now. The could easily offer him more money than they're paying Sale and they wouldn't even be 1/3 of the way to his total contract. I think they will post the full $20 million and could offer him about 5/$70, and they wouldn't even be in the vicinity. Depends if you mean in terms of contract they actually signed, because I'd take Mike Trout and his contract over anyone in baseball, by a large margin. He has been worth almost $100M in his first two years. LOL, insane.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 2, 2014 -> 04:03 PM) That's still a really good player, but take the best player available, period. Can we please stop trying to end all conversations with this?
