  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 05:50 PM) Isn't it 62-101 now? Well, that'd be 163 games...sooo....probably not.
  2. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 02:38 PM) 1. Dave Chappelle - Funny 10 years ago. Not so much anymore. 2. Kevin Hart - Used to like him, but he's getting a little annoying and is shoved down our throats too much. 3. Aziz Ansari - Hilarious. Whether it be Parks and Rec or standup. Good all around. 4. Rickey Smiley - Never heard of him. 5. Zach Galifanakis - Yes. Been a fan from way back before he got big. 6. Daniel Tosh - Yes and no. Hilarious at times, but really misses the mark others. 7. Hannibal Buress - Have not heard a ton, but is hilarious when he's on Bob and Tom. 8. Sarah Silverman - Always thought she was overrated. 9. Bill Burr - Not real familiar with his work. The little I've seen has been good. 10. Louis C.K. - The best comedian performing today. Hands down. Other good ones not mentioned - Jim Gaffigan, Tom Green (his standup is hilarious), David Cross, Mike Birbiglia, and many others. Who I can't stand - Anthony Jeselnik, Amy Shumer, Terry Fator Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention her. Amy Shumer is really good too, probably my favorite female comic right now. The show she had, or maybe still has, was just god awful though.
  3. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 04:22 PM) Tommy Johnagin is from Benton, IL. Home of Doug Collins & John Malkovich. More or less I meant I am pretty sure they both came up through the Chicago comedy scene. I could be wrong.
  4. Hell of a peg by Phegley. He fired that ball in about a quarter second, and right on the dot at 2nd.
  5. For anyone who is buying GTA 5 on the PSN, they are offering the game for download at 3 a.m EST on Monday, or about 21-22 hours early. It's tempting, but I gotstohave a physical copy of my games if I can.
  6. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 03:07 PM) Kinane went to my high school. I remember he had a special on CC a few years ago and my facebook blowing up about it. It looks like he was probably the quiet pot smoker who took auto and wood shop, right?
  7. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 02:40 PM) That double he hit last night over the center fielder's head really showed that he has decent pop. Maybe not a big homerun hitter, but I could see 15-20 with 40 doubles. Yeah, I think he will be more of a doubles guy. Maybe a Brian Roberts type player with less base-stealing ability, possibly a little more power.
  8. I'd be down for seeing Salazar strike out 21, unfortunately he won't make it past 5 innings.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 02:18 PM) Does Semien have any power? He seems to have a clue at the plate. He hit 19 HR in the minors this year, but I think that was a surprise to most people. He's probably a 10-15 HR guy in the majors, but he is also still young, so this season could have been an indication of developing more power. Someone else could probably tell you better.
  10. If we are talking underrated comedians you may never heard of, I'd like to toss Kyle Kinane and Tommy Johnagin in the group. Both are Chicago comedians, both are pretty solid.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 13, 2013 -> 12:20 AM) I actually wouldn't be against making Danks and Hector our lefty setup guys. It makes some sense when you think about it. I'm sick of trotting guys like Veal/Thornton/Boone Logan, et all, out there. How bout take one of our current arms and make him a reliable lefty reliever?? Because a $14M+ setup guy is the worst way you could possibly use Danks, without making him a LOOGY or mop-up.
  12. QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 11:55 PM) Well if what bucket said about Rick and company not simply punting on the season is true then the Sox think differently. I'm indifferent on bringing in a new coach though, I agree with the last bit of your post, it's the product on the field....Nothing a coach can do. I know it sounds ridiculous but I agree with Hawk when he said a manager doesn't matter. Well to clarify I don't blame Rick Hahn if he wants to get a new manager. It looks really bad if you convey to the fans that you aren't counting on a season before it starts, but as a fan, I just don't give a s*** who the manager is next year because it's going to be very likely be an average team at best. So I'd rather not burn through a new manager when it doesn't matter. It's just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
  13. If you told me I was playing against a guy who had Edelman tonight, and he caught 13 passes, I would have thought he had 150+ yards with 2-3 TDs. Nope, instead it's only like 78 yards and 7 fantasy pts. Even though Ridley sucked, Edelman didn't stack up many pts either. Only down 7 to 4.
  14. I don't know why people are hoping for a new manager. We are going to be bad again next year too. I can't imagine we'd be this bad, but I wouldn't be shocked if we never made it over .500 next season. That being said, who cares who is at the helm? Doesn't Robin have a year left anyway? Just let him continue to sink w/ the ship, and get a new manager when we are ready to win again. I don't want to bring in a new manager for a bad team and then see people b**** about how bad the manager is, when it's likely just the product on the field.
  15. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 10:51 PM) Ansari is kind of light, I find myself drawn to more explicit comics but my god did he kill that roast. I am another one who was shocked Louis CK was 10. That guy puts out a special every year that never disappoints. He's almost revolutionary in stand up. I trust you listen to Jeselnik and Jeffries then, right?
  16. Barons put up a 5 spot in the 8th! 8-2 lead now!
  17. Also, Jim Gaffigan should be somewhere around 6-10.
  18. Why does it say "Current" and include Dave Chappelle? That makes no sense, he hasn't been relevant in half a decade. Louis CK needs to be #1, and Jim Jeffries needs to be in the top 5 with Kevin Hart, Daniel Tosh, and Aziz.
  19. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 12:36 AM) To be fair, he was playing defense while he was still hurt. Jeter's already a bad defensive SS, playing hurt only made him worse. I don't doubt he played injured, but it's amazing that he could have been THAT bad over such a short period. But upon further review, Tyler Colvin may have actually done worse. In his 27 games, he had a -1.1 WAR. Yeezus christ.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 12, 2013 -> 01:29 PM) I preferred "booooooooooooo b****" I loved the "tight tight tight tight tight!"
  21. Oh my god, this may be the greatest parody video I have ever seen. Hahaha, wow.
  22. Wow, Derek Jeter has only played 17 games this season and has somehow managed to put up a -0.6 WAR. That's incredible. That's almost a -6.0 WAR over a full season. WOW.
  23. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 11:51 PM) Mini Garcia sure showed how overrated Beckham is defensively. He made some incredible plays at second tonight. The "L" stands for "Lil"
  24. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Sep 11, 2013 -> 11:32 PM) Jose Fernandez is amazing. I love how he defended himself tonight & stared that ball down after he killed it. Don't agree with McCann getting in Joses face after Gattis stared down a homer & Chris Johnson randomly running his mouth at Jose & saying he has a "Weak Ass Fastball" yet Johnson couldn't get a hit off him haha. Then Jose is rounding 3rd base after his homer & Johnson spits in his direction so Jose spits back. Hahaha if Fernandez gets robbed of ROTY because of Puig it will be a shame. This guy has had a CY Young type season on a Marlins team. I don't know who'd I vote for ROY, Puig or Fernandez. In a full season, Puig would have like a 6+ WAR, which is pretty amazing. It's just a shame he will end up w/ only around 100 games played. If he would have been here all year, he'd have it wrapped up by now.
