  1. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 04:17 PM) I would guess much later. I watched the draft last year, but I couldn't think of how long it took for each RD. Well, all I know is that I have a lot of baseball to watch tonight. I'll have the draft and the Sox game on simultaneously.
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 04:09 PM) I found that episode much less annoying. In fact, I thought it was brilliant. However, when your entire story is 13 episodes, you can't really be burning one for absolutely no story development. Some questions were answered about Linden, sure, but I'm just not sure if I cared to learn them. I'm ready to find out if I'm correct in whom I believe the killer to be. Yeah, if definitely added a lot of background on Linden and her son, but why should the audience care to delve in to that situation when the plot of the story is a murder? Now, if they had killed Jack, or let Jack continue to go missing, I would have been ok with it because it would add another storyline that could possibly relate to the murder of Rosie, but since Jack turned up fine in the end, we literally progressed no where from minute 0 to minute 56. Only those last couple minutes pushed the Rosie story along by getting the ATM footage. I think that may be the downside of having a show that goes 1 day at a time. They said it could take 24 hours for the footage to be released, so it took almost an entire day (episode) for it to happen. When I heard that the warrant for the casino might take a week, I cringed at the fact that we may have to wait 7 episodes before they can go back in there. Lol.
  3. 2 hours away from draft now? And like 3 1/2 until the Sox pick?
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 03:45 PM) That episode was bulls*** and pointless. Not sure if you watch Breaking Bad, but it reminds of the "Fly" episode in S3 where it's just Walt and Jesse in the meth lab for the entire episode trying to kill a fly.
  5. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 03:19 PM) On MLB Network, Harold Reynolds just compared Bubba Starling to Griffey and A-Rod. Quite the compliment. Yeah, but what does Harold Reynolds know? He said Beckham would be the 2B of the all 2010-2019 MLB decade team! lol
  6. Weird episode of The Killing yesterday. The only thing that pushed the story along was the last like 2-3 minutes. Found it pretty boring really, since all we learned was background information about Linden. Not one single scene with Rosie's family, the Richmond campaign, the teacher or his family, or any other side story. 100% of the episode was Linden, Holder, and Linden's son.
  7. QUOTE (IowanSoxFan @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 10:32 AM) Never seen Pineda pitch either.
  8. QUOTE (High Mileage @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 06:36 PM) I made the 300 mile drive, at my first Royals game of the year right now!!! That stadium looks real nice on TV. How was it in person?
  9. PS3 broke today right after I activated my 30 free days of PS+. Even worse, I have a rented game inside the machine. Ugh. f*** my life.
  10. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) FrankiePiliere Frankie Piliere Sources telling me the Astros are trying to cut a pre-draft deal with Stanford lefty, Chris Reed at #11. #mlbdraft 5 minutes ago Favorite Retweet Reply How can this happen?? Is this deal like "If you haven't been picked in the first 10, then we are drafting you #11" type thing? Because that's dangerous for them if something like a Chris Sale type thing happens where a top 3-4 pick drops a bunch of spots, and they can't draft him because they already agreed on someone else. I guess the advantage is to try and get Chris Reed to sign for less, and get him in to the system immediately?
  11. Oh my Burnside. 7 1/3 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 10 K. He has struck out 31 batters in his last 3 starts (20 1/3 IP). Something clicked?
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 09:16 PM) Crainwreck. I like that. Reminds me of my buddy at school that is known for getting ridiculously drunk 3-4 times a week. We call him "Shanewreck"
  13. I really can't think of an offensive position we could upgrade, which is sad considering this team. OF is full, and it's full for next year too (Quentin-Rios-Viciedo). IF is full for a long time if they stick with Morel. I would either trade think a trade would have to be for prospects or bullpen arms, or a combination. I would actually like to know what the Yankees want for catching prospect Austin Romine, or a couple lesser prospects and reliever David Robertson.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 04:08 AM) Pirates and Padres fans couldn't get all those right. Phil Nevin? lol. I forgot he even existed. Yeah, I was really pissed I forgot Miguel Tejada, but Phil Nevin?
  15. QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 02:24 AM) Definitely. If his walk rate doesn't improve, he's not an MLB caliber player. No argument needed. I am thinking Morel can be a Kevin Kouzmanoff type bat, with a better avg, but little less power. I mean, Kouz only walks at a career 4.6%. In the minors, Morel was about a 6-8% every year.
  16. QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 05:00 PM) If you enjoy it, there are a s***load of sports related quizzes. Oh yeah I know, I frequent the site all the time. I even have my own sports quiz on there as well.
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 09:23 AM) 1. Win. Or die trying. 4. Knowing what's coming and hitting what's coming- not the same thing. 5. Every pitch is full count. Every inning, the ninth. 18. HE GONE!!! MOTHER f***ERS, WIZARDS CAN'T DIE!!!!
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 09:03 PM) Werent you and I agreeing earlier about benchin Dunn against lhp because of how ineffective he's been? Isn't that the same thing? Lol. NAILED YA!
  20. Why is Hawk going nuts about Pierre's catch? Any average LF would have had it. Just because Juan shuffle-steps to the ball and gets a bad read does not mean it was a great play.
  21. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 08:55 PM) He f***ing waits to the bases are loaded to make a move Actually, he waited until 1 run scored, and the tying run is on 2nd to make a move.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 3, 2011 -> 08:52 PM) Why do we have Jesse Crain? Jesse Crain has a welt the size of Texas on his side, I can't even believe it's real.
  23. Well Matt, you have done your job. Good job, asshat.
