  1. QUOTE (Sockin @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) After AJ popped out in the AB in the 3rd, he slammed his bat down, broke it in two, and chucked a broken piece into the Twins dugout fence. Thome took exception and tossed it back. How s***ty of him (AJ).
  2. From CSN Facebook... "After a near-scrap w A.J. tonight, CSNChicago.com's Brett Ballantini says Jim Thome might not be looking at the White Sox as fondly as he did 3 hours earlier..." Huh? What did AJ get in to it about with Thome?
  3. LOL. Talk about a golden chance to take Burnett out, claim injury, and get a pitcher warmed up as long as needed. But they leave him out there! Ha!
  4. There were closer pitches to Kotsay than that 3-1 pitch...
  5. I can't believe they left Burnett out there. He had NO CONTROL last inning, and is still proving he doesn't have any this inning either.
  6. Way to completely help out the pitcher there Alex, wow. He has thrown 1 strike so far in like 12 pitches.
  7. What the hell are you swinging at on 2-0 after he has thrown 6 straight balls Alex?
  8. That was like a bunt I do in The Show. Niiiice.
  9. Ahh....I remember back in ST when I said Q should be DHing and Andruw Jones in the OF, and everyone came back with "He is a better RF than a LF, and he can't handle DHing", blah blah blah. I told you so.
  10. Welp.....at least our bullpen is well rested....
  11. QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 07:44 PM) yeah those are the types of plays the Twins take advantage of. Good call.
  12. Morel is 3-3 with a 2B and 2 RBI. AVG now up to .306 He is now hitting .432 over his past 10 games.

  14. Yep, Morneau to go to 15-day DL on Friday.
  15. QUOTE (gosox41 @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 09:56 PM) Is he ready for the majors? Bob I have yet to see him pitch at all, but the plan has been from the beginning that he is will make the majors this year.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 08:21 PM) Best scene on TV all summer is Brooklyn Decker at the ESPYs. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Model-Bro...os-angeles.html
  17. Persons Unknown is a pretty sweet show.
  18. LOL. Invis-text. I really enjoy this. I can talk some mad s*** on here!
  19. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 01:14 PM) Man I was pissed when the Sox traded him. I was wrong there. Same.
  20. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 01:59 AM) Kid hasn't pitched one game in AAA yet and people are already wanting to slide him into our rotation in a pennant race (70+ pitches, 70-80 innings be damned) while the sox said all along they want to protect his arm since he pitched alot of stressful innings in college. (and I won't even go into the potential bust factor) Ridiculous. I don't remember anyone saying they wanted him to be our 5th starter, but rather discussed the possibility of it happening if Hudson were to be traded for bat. And if they want to protect his arm from "stressful innings" in college, then why rush him past multiple levels in the minors and throw him into the heat of a pennant race?
  21. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 01:02 AM) They'll abuse Pena that way, he's done it before. They won't do that with a recent first round pick of which they are planning on limiting the innings. Do you think they would do that to Putz, Thornton or Jenks? I don't see how it's so far fetched to ask a guy who is a starting pitcher to give you 70-80 pitches maximum, which is what I said. Will he go 7-8 innings? No. But I thin there is definitely a possibility that Hudson gets traded for a bat, and Sale becomes out 5th starter on a strict pitch limit with Pena pigging backing his starts. I mean, if he makes the final 10 starts of the season or so out of the 5th spot, and is on a strict pitch count, I can't see him having more than 55-60 innings from when he made his debut in late June to the beginning of October. That's not a lot at all.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 14, 2010 -> 12:29 AM) If Hudson gets traded, I think it's on the deadline and Sale becomes the 5th starter, but he wouldn't go more than 5 innings a start. Which is exactly what I said.
