  1. Oh hell yes. Give away Teahen for a low level prospect for all I care.
  2. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) He had given up runs in high-A ball. When I read first taste of failure, I thought it was much worse. Same. It sounds like he went 1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 2 K. Not great, but seems like he was 1 pitch away from another good outing. EDIT: Actually, only 1 run was his, so he actually went 1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 K. I'm fine with that.
  3. QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 11:14 PM) Here are the rest of the box scores since Joe did such a terrible job putting them up. I'll post all the starters performances and one position prospect performance. Birmingham McCulloch: 5 IP 8 H 5 R 5 ER 0 BB 3 SO Escobar 2-4, 2B, RBI, K Kanny (Game 1) *ended in 7 innings* Collop: 7 IP 6 H 1 R 1 ER 0 BB 7 SO Hamme 1-2, HR, RBI, R, K Kanny (Game 2) *ended in 7 innings* Rienzo: 7 IP 4 H 0 R 0 ER 2 BB 5 SO Saladino 2-2, BB, 2 R, SB Great Falls Holmberg: 5 IP 6 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 5 SO Wilkins 2-4 HR, 4 RBI, R, BB, K Bristol Casey: 4 IP 6 H 6 R 5 ER 0 BB 2 SO Cummings 3-4, RBI, R, K My bad, I put them up before I had to go to my softball games, and then once I got home I had to pack and leave for my lake house where I just now logged on to the computer.
  4. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 19, 2010 -> 01:03 AM) I enjoyed it. For all you people without MLB Network "MLBNetwork will replay #TheClub, as will CSN locally. Will try to get you more info tmrw about 4 hours ago via TweetDeck" From Insidethesox Great, I am so glad I am at my lake house right now.
  5. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 04:25 PM) Truth hurts doesn't it? The old White Sox are back. I think you need a nap.
  6. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 04:23 PM) I f***ing hate that fat piece of s***. This team will be blessed when that screw in his fat elbow explodes and he can never pitch again. f*** you, you embarrassingly fat cocksucker. Shave that ugly piece of s*** on your face, too. You make me wish for terrible injuries on your flabby ass. But how do you really feel?
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 03:47 PM) If it's any significant prospect, he cost too much. I disagree, unless Morel, Hudson, and Viciedo aren't what you consider our ONLY significant prospects.
  8. Why did Thome ever do that for us? He he tried to go to 3B twice now in this game.
  9. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 03:39 PM) What the f*** does Juan Pierre do for this team other than play a decent LF? He is so awful He steals a lot of bases.
  10. Sale pitched 2/3 perfect IP with 2 K. Morel is 0-2 so far with 1 BB.
  11. Charlotte - http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...ox&did=milb Birmingham - 5:05 Kanny - 3:30 Bristol - 6:00
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 03:19 PM) Not out of this world? I'd like to know who you consider out of this world then? I agree with IamtheHBOMB.... Cute, but......meh.
  13. QUOTE (bighurt4life @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 12:41 PM) His GO/AO is 1.39 and only 6 hr's in 14 GS this season, sounds like the type of guy who could succeed for us. I live in the NW and so end up watching a lot of Mariner's games because that's all that's on so I have seen him pitch a few times this year, I've never been super impressed by his stuff but I like his mound presence, demeanor, and the pace he plays at. A lot like Buerhle in many ways. Sounds good. Would be nice to get him, and like I said, I doubt he would come at a high cost, or at least a lot less than Haren would.
  14. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 01:36 PM) I can see where you're coming from. Everybody always says get rid of so and so when they suck and value is low. Konerko isn't getting any younger and his value is very high right now but I know you want Viciedo at first and that is in no way acceptable for a contending team. I made an amendment post a page later to "explain myself".....
  15. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) Dye was a decent outfielder in terms of running routes and getting good reads, he was just way too damn slow. Quentin's just a little bit faster, but he looks clueless on balls out there at times. Yeah, and Dye had a pretty good glove too. It seems that whatever he could get to, he got. They seem pretty much equally bad in my mind.
  16. f***, Quentin looks injured.... EDIT: nevermind, he's fine. Must have just been adjusting his junk.
  17. MLB Network says that he might be on the block for the Mariners. I think Doug Fister would be a nice addition to this rotation that would not cost Kenny a whole lot, and can be a very quality arm for us. Fister is a 26-year-old, 6'8" righty who does not strike out very many people, but has very good control. He sort of sounds like a right-handed Mark Buehrle with his fastball that tops out at about 91, and relies on his command to make best use of his FB, change, and curveball. 2010 stats.... 3.50 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 90 IP, 86 H, 6 HR, 17 BB, 41 K Thoughts on Fister?
  18. And in Saturday's loss, we had the tying run on 2nd base with 0 outs in the 9th.
