Chris Sale Promoted to AAA Charlotte
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to DirtySox's topic in FutureSox Board
Purely speculating here....but what if the Sox decide that now that Peavy is out for the year, The Sox will trade Hudson at the July 31st deadline for a bat, and then Sale will get promoted, and slide into the 5th spot on the rotation. I mean, our best minor league chip has got to be Hudson, and I would think that since Sale is projected to make it to the Sox in August anyway, they might have him be the 5th starter, and maybe just limit him to 70-80 pitches, and have Tony Pena piggyback his starts. So maybe Sale goes 4-5 innings each start, and then Pena covers the other 2-3 innings. Just an idea, but it seems that Hudson is out best chip to get a big bat. -

QUOTE (kane0730 @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 10:23 PM) I knew he was going to be moving fast, but WOW. How he performs at AAA will probably dictate KW's deadline move for a lefty. This has been planned since they signed him. He is scheduled to make it to the Sox by late August, early September. -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 02:52 PM) Daniel Tosh is the king of hosts on Comedy Central. I saw that. That's awesome. Daniel Tosh has been my fav. comedian for a few years now.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 13, 2010 -> 09:10 AM) So, I need to find a new show to get sucked into (drama preferably). Anyone have any suggestions? The guidelines: (1) my fiance and I moved recently and decided to do away with cable. So we're limited to Netflix and the interwebs. (2) to get a feel for my taste in shows, my recent favorites include: Breaking Bad, Lost, Mad Men, Deadwood, The Wire, Sopranos, etc. Anyone every watch Battlestar Galactica? Normally i'm not an outer space kind of guy, but lots of people associate it with Lost, so I'm willing to give it a shot. I tried to get into Dexter and Californication, but can't seem to stay interested. I'm hoping there's a cool series out there that I missed within the last few years. I am actually looking forward to that new drama/suspense show on NBC. It's called "Persons Unknown" http://www.nbc.com/persons-unknown/ From the commercials, it looks interesting.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 08:48 PM) If getting Oswalt and giving the Astros cap relief would making getting Berkman any easier, i'd be all for it. Huh?

I said "Yes", but only because if Beckham is in the 2-hole again, it means that he is back to his old self. As of now, no, he is not there yet.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) I'm pretty sure they came back from their deficits late in the season. And didn't even wind up in 1st. The 2007 Rockies won 21 of 22 games in September and made the playoffs, although I think it was as a wild card team. -

QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 10:54 AM) Has anyone heard a stat about the farthest back a team has been but still in first place at the break? I gotta think 9.5 is pretty close to the record? I think it was the Astros or the Rockies who had some sort of ridiculous run like ours a few years ago. -
QUOTE (VAfan @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 04:21 PM) We can't afford Fielder. And what if Viciedo turns out to be able to hit like Miguel Cabrera, or even 80% of Cabrera? He won't have been worth trading for Fielder. Sox need some cheap stars, like TCQ, to keep the payroll from going off the charts. Wow. Might as well as just said Albert Pujols there. I am hoping he can be the AL version of Pablo Sandoval.

QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 03:53 PM) Carlos HR on saturday was farther than Kotsays. At least thats what the board said after the HR. Did they change it on Sunday? I am referring to Hit Tracker, which lists Kotsay's at 439, and Quentin's at 436. Viciedo's was 435.

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 11:58 PM) Tank with a huge bomb today about 4 rows short of the concourse in LF . Estimated distance about 435-450 feet. It was 435 ft, and good for out 3rd furthest of the Season. Quentin owns the 2nd longest, and Kotsay somehow has the furthest.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 11:35 AM) Ted Lilly would be terrible. I am saying he is the type of pitcher we will get. Not a big name guy, but someone who is a decent player.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 12, 2010 -> 02:34 AM) I've long said she is very sexy and has a fantastic body (definite fantasy). Only issue is, she would not be my #1.. probably not even my top 10-15. I still wouldn't put her as #1, but over the past month or so, she has really moved up my list. I think when I first commented on this thread I said she would be in my top 20 or so, but now I would say top 5 for me. Probably not #1 though.

QUOTE (girlslikebaseballtoo#26 @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 01:42 PM) Katy Perry FOR ANYONE WHO EVER SAID SHE ISN'T CURVY!!! The girl is FREAKING GORGEOUS!!! Probably my fav song, and I can't stop watching this video. I actually checked her site a few times a day waiting for the video to be released....yeah, you read that right.... She has one of the sexiest personalities I have ever seen.

I think Kenny will manage to get both, just neither will be HUGE players, but both will be decent players. A player like Adam LaRoche that every one is throwing out, and maybe a Ted Lilly.

I am really nervous to figure out the numbers on the starting pitchers stats when I factor in what Hudson did today..... -

Should be a 3-hit game for Hot Fire. Screw the scorer who ruled his last AB as an error!

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 03:09 PM) Carlos has picked it up since I dropped him on one of my non soxtalk fantasy leagues. I cannot pick him up for the sake of the White Sox! Same with Gavin for me. He started his insane tear the day I dropped him.

I feel so disappointed that Quentin did anything but hit a HR right there. That's how hot he has been recently, that only a HR will appease me now.

HOT FIRE!!!!! HOLY s***!!!
