Jim Hendry is out as GM
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 19, 2011 -> 12:09 PM) scottmerkin Scott Merkin Hendry: "I don't think there's a finer owner in professional sports than Jerry (Reinsdorf)." White Sox have much respect for Hendry also ~ Somebody asked Kerry Wood what Hendry's legacy in Chicago will be. Wood said he didn't know, because it may not be over in Chicago...."there's another team in town". Could you imagine if the Sox ended up with Hendry and La Russa next season? Worst case scenario.

All Things Rick Hahn
So with Hendry gone, the Sox better make a decision. In my opinion, Kenny has had a few bad years, and it's Hahn's time to show what he can do. I just hope it's with the Sox and not the Cubs.

Ranger talking about Beckham having to work on his swing in the offseason....can't do it now. So that's Dunn, Rios, and Beckham that have offseason projects. This team is a joke from top to bottom.

A rubber game at home against a team in front of you, and lose to fall back under .500? That's another nail in the coffin.

Pretty safe to say this is the biggest game of the year so far.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Aug 17, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) Wow, Verlander is over 200 innings pitched already. Has more than 1 K/9 with a 2.31 ERA and WHIP of 0.88. Pretty freaking impressive. You can be against a pitcher winning an MVP, but an argument can be made that he's it this season. That team is nowhere without him.

White Sox vs. Indians
Big game tomorrow.

3.5 Games Out
28-14, including 4-2 vs the Tigers and 7-4 vs the Indians. Sox do that, playoffs. If not, going to need a lot of help.

Fan dies after fall at Rangers game
Yeah, that's ridiculous. Set up a fund for the family, and move on. It was his own fault he died in a freak accident. If he were a single, non-firefighter, there's no way they're doing this.

Big Jim! Too bad that exclusive club has Arod, Bonds and Sosa there to taint it. Mike and Mike will talk about it tomorrow, and of course it will be all about Mark Schlereth's son giving it up.

Uggla's streak came to an end today at 33. Darwin Barney made a real nice catch going back on a ball to rob him.

White Sox home winner!
Paulie is a god. You can tell he's in a ton of pain. After Friday, i thought they'd lose another one, but they did ok. 8-2 the last 10. It's still going to be tough, but with 42 left, they're still playing for something.

White Sox vs. Royals
If the Indians get rained out, they have an off day tomorrow, and then are looking at 45 games in 44 days, including 3 doubleheaders. Ouch.
