  1. Could be 5.5 tonight. Gotta wonder what would have happened at the deadline if Kenny knew they'd be this far back this quick.
  2. Matt Moore- another good Rays prospect. 8th rounder.
  3. I think they blew this one. Looks like the rain is weakening as it approaches. Would have been brief even if it rained a little.
  4. Escobar fouled a ball off his leg, and left the game.
  5. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 01:45 PM) I am going to go out on a limb here and go against popular sentiment. I am looking forward to seeing Viciedo up at some point, but I doubt he is our super hero in waiitng. He may produce and help us win, but I think it's unfair and unrealistic to put the burden of winning it all on this fellow's shoulders. We may be expecting too much and will be greatly disappointed. I think it's a misconception that fans are expecting Viciedo to come up and carry the offense. Rongey is big on this. Who has ever said he would be the difference between winning and losing? In my opinion, fans just want him to come up because he deserves it and there's no way he can be worse than Dunn. If that means more wins, great. If not, it wouldn't happen with Dunn playing every day anyway.
  6. Viciedo is back tonight. http://twitter.com/#!/KnightsBaseball/...456969173671936
  7. I put this season more on Kenny before it even started. He's got to go. Sorry Rios and Dunn couldn't hit for you KW, but it's time for a new approach with this organization. Hopefully his replacement will hire a new manager - or be allowed to hire a new manager.
  8. QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 2, 2011 -> 01:15 PM) Ozzie screams at Brent and puts Rios in the lineup again. He has to be insane. Who cares anymore? This season is toast, and hopefully Ozzie and Kenny are too.
  9. Since the All Star break of 2010, here are Alex Rios's numbers in 165 games: 143-628 (.228 avg) 25 doubles, 2 triples, 12 homers, 77 runs, 63 rbi's He could be the lone reason for Kenny Williams losing his job. But there are so many other reasons.
  10. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 05:42 PM) She doesn't look bad at all. And it also doesn't matter. You don't rip on guy's wife like that.
  11. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Aug 1, 2011 -> 04:38 PM) What did Oney tweet about Teahen and his wife? If he tweeted something about Teahen's wife, he should get his mouth shut. I don't know. I couldn't find it, so maybe it was taken down. Ballantini needs to elaborate.
  12. cool... http://twitter.com/#!/CSNChi_Beatnik/s...143508120080384 Ozzie--just f***ing leave please.
  13. Season is over in 58 days. It'll go quick.
  14. I'm not going to go through Oney's nonsense tweets, but did he say anything about Teahen to prompt this? Nice slam by Teahen, but I'd like to know if Oney talked crap about him first. It also probably shows what the team in general thinks of Ozzie and his family. Only Teahen can say it now.
  15. Charlotte lost. No Viciedo. They are off tomorrow. Good chance he's back Tuesday.
  16. Kuhn can bring Addison Reed with him. He might be special.
  17. If Kuhn finishes strong, I want him up in September playing LF and leading off every day. Assuming the Sox will be 8-10 games out by then.
  18. Charlotte-- nice start for Stewart. Throwing strikes. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...ox&did=milb Birmingham http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...biraax_tenaax_1 Winston-Salem-PPD Kannapolis http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...ashafx_kanafx_1 Bristol http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...dnvrok_brirok_1 Great Falls http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/milb/st...misrok_grfrok_1
  19. Prediction for the 2011 AL Central champion Tigers: 54 games left-- Chi 3-3 Cle 7-5 KC 6-3 Min 5-4 Bal 5-2 TB 2-2 Oak 2-2 Tex 2-1 32-22 89 wins
  20. April 10-18 May 16-13 June 14-11 July 12-12 Prediction: August: 14-14 September: 14-14 80-82
  21. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 04:44 PM) Can they cut these f***ing crap "All-in" commercials? Seriously, it just makes this organization look like a joke. STOP. PLAYING. THEM! Just about to post the same thing. So stupid.
  22. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 04:41 PM) Out of money, out of hope, it looks like self-destruction! This team is so unwatchable and unlikeable. Exactly. I'm done. No more torture this season.
  23. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jul 31, 2011 -> 03:50 PM) Remember when Gordon was supposed to be a sure-shot 10 year stud? LMAO! The guy is CLEARLY not a major league hitter. What the hell happened to his stance this year? Is that the work of Greg Walker? Remember when he came up? Foul line to foul line hitter in 09. 14 homers in 105 games. It can't just be a lack of adjustments. His approach is messed up.
  24. Josh Fields, the pitcher. Beckham's teammate at Georgia.
  25. Yeah, the Tigers solidified their chances with Fister and Pauley. Porcello had a real good July if anyone noticed. Verlander is an ace. Scherzer, Penny, Porcello, and Fister will be good enough. They'll get to at least 87 wins (probably higher), and nobody else in the division will get there.
