    I think it was a given when they started the rebuild- it bought everyone about 4-5 years of security to see it through. If it doesn’t work, everyone involved should know they’re done here. We’re just waiting patiently (in most cases) to see what the team looks like in 2020-21.

    Quintana has now made 32 regular season starts for the Cubs. 15-9, 3.86 ERA...only 182 innings though.

    Yeah, could be a Vieira. He was the 26th man but wasn’t used not too long ago. They’ll all get called up after some of the bullpen pieces are traded over the next few weeks.

    Hopefully they pulled the plug after getting hit twice, and today was just a travel day to Kannapolis. They’re facing a lefty having a good season tomorrow night.

    While I'd like them to go 3-9, and somehow grab the 2nd spot, it's not happening. 3rd spot is almost a lock unless the Marlins go on a Tigers of 2017 run...which I suppose is possible. A long time ago (probably May), I wanted the Sox to come home from Houston 30-60. They're one loss away today from being there.
