  1. It's possible Melky is still 53. Like I said, it may just be a misprint in the game notes, and the person who put them together put 44 because Bourjos was next to Cabrera on a list from spring training.
  2. Honestly, it could be good or bad weather in Mid-March to late May. I know it gets said every year that they should open in better climates, but it really doesn't matter other than possibly getting rained out on opening day.
  3. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 3, 2017 -> 11:51 AM) Really? That's weird. I thought he always liked 53, even before he was with us. Bourjos wore 44 this spring. Maybe it's just a misprint on the game notes.
  4. Well, hopefully they get the game in and nobody gets hurt. Go Sox...pick to click...Asche--duh! According to the game notes... Jacob May will wear 32. Melky Cabrera changed to 44.
  5. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 3, 2017 -> 07:14 AM) Well, this should be interesting. My worst nightmare would be to get all the way down there just to have them move it to tomorrow. Considering how much lead time they had, it should have been moved to Tuesday regardless. This will be another Sox fail.
  6. As of now, they plan to play as scheduled. The forecasts I've seen, there is a possible window to start the game on time, but they could end up playing in a light rain. Not fun.
  7. Whatever call they make, this is looking like a 1-game series and doubleheaders in late May and late August.
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 08:02 PM) Heywards swing doesn't look fixed, if anything it looks worse Greg Walker ruin him too?
  9. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 07:53 PM) What's the percentage they get this game in tomorrow? I think real low. Even the temps look fairly low. They could just say "inclement weather" and be done with it until Tuesday.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 05:11 PM) Or he could hit two home runs. That could be good Wow. Early MVP lead.
  11. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 04:41 PM) Yeah the people who say a game is cancelled for the most part sound stupid. It just bugs me when the Rongey types say "today's game is cancelled. It will be made up tomorrow". Um, no.
  12. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 04:05 PM) What's there to watch this year? It seems like the only story is if the Cubs will repeat. Maybe it's just because the White Sox are expected to stink, but it looks like it's going to be a boring year. Bumgarner hasn't given up a hit yet. That could be good.
  13. This whole week looks like crap. The entire Tigers series looks bad each day...except for Tuesday when they play the opener. Hopefully they do the right thing and postpone early tomorrow morning before people would start making their way to the park.
  14. QUOTE (Tannerfan @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 01:44 PM) Are they still going to wear the early 80's clown clothes on Sundays, or has that gone away? Definitely time to stop with that. I liked the spring training unis a lot. They should use that as the alternate.
  15. QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 01:33 PM) Who said the if the game is rained out that it would not be made up ? It's my preemptive strike against people that don't know the difference between a postponement and a cancellation.
  16. Saladino, Anderson, Cabrera, Abreu, Frazier, Asche, Garcia, Narvaez, May Go rebuild! Postponed means the game will be made up. Cancelled means it won't. Don't ask if the game is cancelled, because it won't be.
  17. QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Apr 2, 2017 -> 09:35 AM) That's a lot better. Now if they wouldn't wear the black jerseys every game They cut way back on that last year, if I recall correctly...which was nice.
  18. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 1, 2017 -> 02:09 PM) How early would fans be notified if it's rained out? They'll definitely try to wait as long as possible, but if it looks like an all day soaker, which it's looking like, maybe by 11am. Just depends on the radar and how long they think it will last.
  19. Hope ticket holders can still go Tuesday. Might be the only day game if it comes to that.
  20. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 1, 2017 -> 12:04 PM) I know he's not making the opening day roster, but has Delmonico been sent down yet? No. They technically have to do something with E Cabrera, Hayes, Delmonico, K Smith, and Burdi. And they have to place Rodon, Tilson, and Minaya on the DL.
  21. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0401-story.html
  22. https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/847896793820135428 Maybe Monday's lineup too?
  23. I'll add that I'll root for the Sox to win until it's time to root for them to lose. There will be positives this season regardless of the daily wins and losses. As far as draft position, I can't see a scenario where the Sox are worse than the Padres, and probably the Reds.
  24. 65-97 But I could totally see +/- 5. If the Sox win over 70, they didn't trade Quintana or Robertson.
  25. Only four short months until the trade deadline.
