  1. 6 shutout innings for Lopez today, so he's stretched out if somebody gets hurt/traded. Kahnle terrible. Bye Felecia. Matt Davidson was terrible today too. If 8 in the pen/3 on the bench, they probably could get him through waivers, and if not, no big loss.
  2. QUOTE (Butter Parque @ Mar 20, 2017 -> 05:10 PM) I like Timmy Anderson, but anyone who says that they feel better about him than they did about Beckham after his rookie year is lying. I remember everyone on this board creaming in their jeans when Harold Reynolds listed him as a future HOF'er during Spring Training that next year. Can't argue with that. I was comparing Sox first round shortstops (infielders) with four months of major league time. Not debating the potential value of locking up a guy early. Anderson has some great tools and can do some things Beckham couldn't. But nobody would have blinked in 2010 if the Sox signed him to a team friendly deal.
  3. They could have locked Beckham up after 14 homers and 28 doubles in four months too. Glad they didn't. I think Anderson is a good player though.
  4. Of course MLB Network shows a replay of a WBC game. Bastards.
  5. They should be on a plane ten days from now... OF- Melky, Bourjos, Avisail IF- Frazier, Anderson, Saladino, Abreu C- Narvaez DH- Asche Bench- Davidson, Leury, Sanchez, Soto Starters- Quintana, Shields, Holland, Gonzalez, Rodon Bullpen- Covey, Ynoa, Putnam, Petricka, Jennings, Jones, Robertson It wouldn't surprise me at all if Robertson ends up with the Nationals in the next two weeks.
  6. He's only 21, it's only spring training... He's only 21, it's only spring training...

  9. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Mar 18, 2017 -> 03:33 PM) Fulmer not looking very sharp Overall this spring, I think he's been ok. Hopefully after 10-15 starts in Charlotte, he'll deserve to get a call up. Last year, he clearly wasn't ready.
  10. Video link http://m.whitesox.mlb.com/cws/video/v12350...ite-sox-webcast Sox Lineup https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/843102472562532353 Dodgers Lineup https://twitter.com/Dodgers/status/843156178603577348 Petricka, Putnam, Covey, Ynoa, and Fry scheduled to pitch Quintana and Swarzak pitching in minor league game. Gonzalez threw six shutout innings yesterday in minor league game.
  11. Puerto Rico beat USA last night 6-5. Stroman gave up 4 runs in the 1st inning; Arenado made a huge error later in the game. Robertson gave up a long strike to Beltran, but had a 1-2-3 inning, as did Jones. The final 4 are Netherlands, Japan, Puerto Rico, and the winner of USA and Dominican Republic tonight.
  12. Listening to Hahn today, sounds like Bourjos is going to be in CF, with Leury on the bench. Engel and May getting more minor league time. Saladino and Sanchez will share 2b.
  13. QUOTE (Donaldo @ Mar 15, 2017 -> 07:00 PM) Anybody hear Renteria on with Spiegel and Parkins today? Bad interview all around IMO. Just listened to it, and while I don't think Renteria will ever be a must-hear interview, Parkins seems like such a tool in love with the sound of his own voice. What I like about Renteria...he seems like an authentically boring baseball guy. He knows what he wants to say, and he's not going to give media guys a canned answer that's almost expected in 2017.
  14. Sox with another March win. Ynoa looks solid, and is probably a lock with 2 weeks left in Arizona.
  15. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 15, 2017 -> 05:45 PM) Por que? I think on a pick off play where he was covering. He took a few seconds to get it together, but he stayed in.
  16. Just for fun: Sale starts: 4-5 vs Pit 4-10 at Det 4-16 vs TB 4-21 at Bal 4-27 vs NY 5-2 vs Bal 5-7 at Min 5-13 vs TB 5-19 at Oak 5-25 vs Tex 5-30 at White Sox
  17. Moncada limping...not a sight I want to see again.
  18. QUOTE (Tony @ Mar 15, 2017 -> 05:25 PM) Another HR for Moncada. Cool. No rush.
  19. I look at it this way....in 13-14 years when the lease is up, you never know what the landscape of the world and MLB will be. Nothing is impossible, but for now, enjoy the rebuild and hope the Sox are the team of the 2020's.
  20. QUOTE (Scoots @ Mar 15, 2017 -> 04:59 PM) Feels nice to be beating KC...even if it is just ST I guess, but for the sake of the rebuild, KC is one of the teams we don't want to be sellers in July.
