Here are the numbers the Sox should have retired: 2 4 9 11 35 42 72 That's it. 3, 6 (Lau), 13 (Ozzie), 14, 16, 19, 56 These guys are very good to sometimes great players, but that's what team Halls of Fame are for. And yes, 6 and 13 aren't retired but are never issued.
