The only way I would take Vazquez is if the Dbacks took Contreras and Everett, if thats not enough for them they could have Borchard too. Any more than that and its not worth it IMO.

He is definitly a risk, but at this point it may be a risk the Sox have to take because if we stand pat it will be another .500 season if we are lucky.

Lee and Bmac for Hudson with the clause that we have time to negotiate an extention. Then trade Contreras for a mid level OF and sign Wilson Alvarez to be the fifth starter.

I'd take any of those places over toronto, awful place. Awful.

Actually it's about 84 cents on the dollar right now And since the players get paid in americen dollars he would actually be making more in toronto.

I'd take both and trade Contreras.

I would rather see Contreras traded than Garland. They are both very inconsistant but Garland is cheaper and younger.

Forget about Johnson and find a way to get Hudson or Mulder.

Can anyone tell me for sure if Lance Berkman is a free agent or not I see him listed some places but not in others. If he is availible thats who I would target. A switch hitter with a career OBP over .400 would replace Maggs nicely.

I'll take Wilkerson's career .370 OBP and lefty power any day, I'll live with the strikeouts with everything else he brings to the table. As for Perez he has great stuff and is just entering his prime, and before someone says he only looks good because he pitches in a pitchers park he has a 3.30 ERA on the road this year and had the same in 2002.

Yes, and I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. Wilkerson has good power and OBP and is LH which will balence our line up. Plus I think he is due for a break out year.

CF Crawford (trade for Konerko, the rays need some RH power) SS Cabrera (free agent) RF Berkman (free agent) DH Thomas 1B Wilkerson (trade for Lee) CF Rowand C Davis/Burke 3B Crede 2B Harris Rotation Beuhrle Garcia Perez (free agent) Contreras Garland Bullpen Diaz Cotts Adkins Marte Shingo Urbina (free agent)

I want Berkman for RF, Perez for the rotation, Cabrera for SS, Benitez for Closer. Of course this would require Konerko to be traded and replaced by someone like Tino Martinez or Brad Fulmer.

Three guys I would love to see with the Sox next year are Odalis Perez, Orlando Cabrera and Lance Berkman. The first two are possible but unfortunatly I think houston will do every thing they can to keep Berkman.
