    QUOTE(easyw @ Mar 4, 2005 -> 09:18 PM) I got laid last night. Missionary style, so not all that much to brag about... And you? What was it, your first time?
  4. I just hope they go after the state of Illinois. It is such a rude name. Indiana too. The country of India should get it's name changed... The Indians can STFU.
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) That's Schenscher DBAHO, Schenscher That's DBAH0 Rowand, DBAH0...
  6. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) Besides Nomar and Greg, trying to put all bias aside, I don't understand how there is anyone on that team you can actaully root for, or like the orginzation. Not only are the players all stuck up and think the world is against them, the Club lies to it's fans, scalps its own tickets, and blames everyone else for there problems. Derek Lee and Joe Borowski seem like good guys to me aswell.
  7. Why was the college BBall thread closed? I don't want to have to navigate so much to read and discuss. It was easy being in all one thread.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) I was at baseball practice, talking with 2 of my coaches the other day. Mind you, 1 is a Cub's fan and the other is a Sox fan. I start telling the Cubs fan about how Podsednik can outplay Patterson (more steals, defense, etc.) you know, backing up my team. So, I bust out with the stats and he was impressed, but to no evail, starts talking about Burnitz..........yes, Jeremy Burnitz. Enters the Sox fan coach and he asks and I quote "What team does Podsednik play on?" I reply "Are you serious?" and he says "Ya, man!." I proceed to ask him, for assurance, if he was a Sox fan. He says "Yes." I then proceed to ask him if he follows the Sox and he once again replies "Yes." I then say "No, you dont because if you did, you'd know that he was acquired from Milwaukee." He then says "Oh, well, all I know is that Carlos Lee is going to rock the Cell this year!" then I ask him "Oh really, do the Brewers play the Sox this year at the Cell?" and he replies "I don't know, why?" So, I tell him the story and inform him on the Sox' additions this winter. I was absolutely shocked. Also, the Cubs fan coach even knew about the Sox acquisitions. Then later on, I was talking to a teammate, started talking about Iguchi, and he asked me if I sit around and read about the Sox and s*** all day and I said "No, I sit around on the internet and read it!" Anyways, the point is that I am sometimes made fun of jockingly by people who don't necessarily follow their sport as much. Does this happen to anyone else? People overdo it alot too. If someone started saying Patterson is better than Podsednik, I'd bet you'd do the same thing. Just saying.
  9. QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) Where is that from? Because i don't know who they are trying to fool, teixeira is going no where any time soon. What do you mean? 12 HRs in AAA for a 1st basemen is huge.
  10. Could we catch more lightning in the bottle by another ex-Rock?
  11. Okay, so can I just say f*** you to Alan Anderson and Matt Trannon. Sheesh...the Sparties should have done so much better.
  12. I just got home from the game...wasn't the most exciting game...Duhon and Hinrich impressed, as Redd had an okay game too. Chandler kills me. Curry was invisible alot. It was a very sloppy game.
  13. QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) The question is why you took Lidge in the first place knowing he was a keeper? Nope, cause I asked before I did it...also someone else would have as there was only four of us there. I'll take Carlos Guillen, I don't care, I am just saying.
  14. Um, I disagree with the Lidge for Guillen deal. He basically gets five top picks, cause I would have taken Lidge before Foulke, but I didn't cause he was a kepper, then I asked what happens if I did take him. I think it's kinda unfair.
  15. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) whats his control look like? Learn how to read...it clearly says he was a bit wild and threw two pitches over Lee's head earlier in the thread that is a summary of the tryout. :banghead
  16. QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) Where's the "Go MSU" and "Go Duke" smileys when ya need them? GO STATE!!!
  17. QUOTE(southsider17 @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 10:43 AM) That's true. But if you're bringing in your closer more often (into situations that are not really critical) to keep him 'sharp', then why bring in someone (middle reliever) who hasn't had enough work (to keep him 'sharp') into truly critical situations? Save these for your "closer" and give the 2 or more run lead, "beginning of the ninth inning, none on, none out" situations to the middle relief guys. Of course, you'll then be denying your "closer" a good chance at padding his stats. Then you will just be giving the stats to a guy who is worse...so someone like Jon Adkins can get saves? Naw.
  18. That data is kinda one-sided. The closers all have 50-70 appearances...the other pitchers all have 10-20. Ofcourse it is going to be less over a larger sample.
  19. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) I'd take those diminished skills on a team any day. He was Juan Uribe....283, 24 hr, 74 rbi...
  20. Just as State plays consistently for a little while (first time we beat a top 25 team in two seasons), we drop one we should win. Hopefully we get these out of our system.
