QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 28, 2015 -> 06:05 AM) Purdue, Rutgers, and Nebraska, even without the bad call that gave them the win, kept it within 10 vs. Michigan State. I wonder what Cowherd, who guaranteed fraud Iowa would lose to Nebraska will have to say now. Iowa was playing on a short week vs. Nebraska who had a bye last weekend as well. Good to know. How many of those games were in the big ten championship game?

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 27, 2015 -> 09:46 PM) Honestly it would be great for Iowa to win it all and I'll cheer for them. I'm just worried that they haven't played anyone yet and it will be shocking. MSU will be a nice test. It will be the first team that has several NFL players on its roster I would be pretty surprised if Iowa kept it within 10 against MSU (well, if Cook plays).

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 27, 2015 -> 09:43 PM) Illinois actually looking like a solid team for the first time this year. Having very one back is helping a ton. I thought this was a good matchup for Illinois because UAB can't shoot 3s (averages 4 per game) and that has been the biggest problem this year. Still a bit worried, but I agree that having even limited minutes from Black, Nunn, and Tate has helped a ton.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Nov 26, 2015 -> 07:59 PM) What a cheap flag on porter, took that int away. Then they completely miss a hold on the screen pass that sprung it. Good game so far.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 24, 2015 -> 08:06 PM) Ahem The Challenge! Bananas bloodline is a former D1 football player. As if the guy needed any more help winning these challenges. Hard to see them not winning.

QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 22, 2015 -> 01:56 PM) Cutler having a bad game. Doesn't seem comfortable Aaron Rodgers threw for 77 yards against this team. We have no receivers. What were you expecting?

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 18, 2015 -> 08:03 PM) He was great on Dunn. Terrific defender. Help shut down the best player in the country. But why is he driving with the game in the line? That's mostly what I was talking about. I can't believe he took it in that situation. He's just not a very good offensive player at all.

QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 18, 2015 -> 08:00 PM) Oh Finke! He played great before that too. Can't wait until Nunn is back so I don't have to see Alex Austin anymore.

Jalen Coleman-Lands is an absolute stud.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 18, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) This Illinois team is ... not good. Black and Thorne were in foul trouble like the whole first half. I'm surprised the deficit is only 2.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 29, 2015 -> 10:17 PM) 16-0 or no? Not likely, but it's hard to bet against the GOAT Quarterback with the GOAT coach.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Oct 22, 2015 -> 11:22 PM) I just want to see the Iowa State/Illinois game I've been clamoring for. How is Iowa State's wheelchair basketball team? That might be more fitting.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 07:10 PM) Yeah, they definitely are... Cavs ---drop off--- Bulls ---steep drop off--- Heat Wizards Bucks/Raptors/Hawks I would group the Heat with the Bulls. McRoberts and Bosh back along with a full offseason with guys like Whiteside and Dragic. Justice Winslow was a steal also.

QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 6, 2015 -> 07:03 PM) Was surprised we picked up Barrett Jones. Really thought he was great at Alabama. I know nothing. He is probably one of the greatest collegiate offensive linemen of all time. It's too bad it hasn't translated to the pros.

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 24, 2015 -> 02:28 PM) Would be a good role player for us, hopefully he sees that as well. If he's looking to be a starter from the get go then he isn't coming to Illinois. It appears that he was looking to start right away. Commits to K State.

The irrational Cutler hate will forever be weird to me. The guys record as a starting QB under Lovie was 34-22. In his two years under with Martz (the only solid OC) he was 17-8 and went to an NFC Championship game. Some of the starters from that glorious 2010 year? His top 3 WRs were Johnny Knox, Devin Hester, and Earl Bennett. Awesome. His OL from left to right was Frank Omiyale, Chris Williams, Olin Kreutz, Roberto Garza, and Jamarcus Webb. Fantastic. The Bears finally get offensive weapons for him (albeit still with multiple sieves on the OL) and they pair him with the worst coaching staff that I can remember and the worst defense in franchise history. I get that the guy isn't a top 10 QB like we all wanted, but the hate he gets is just insane to me.

QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 24, 2015 -> 02:47 PM) Doesnt matter. No other position comes close to the importance of finding a Quarterback. Look around the league. If you don't have that position settled you aren't a real contender. Even if you have to throw away the next two damn years of football you have to find the quarterback in that process. It absolutely does matter. Eli Manning has as many rings as Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers combined.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 18, 2015 -> 07:12 AM) That game made me sick last night. Andy Reid has got to be the most consistently atrocious game caller in the league. Opening drive, moving the ball well, Charles running well, get down to the 2. Let's run three straight passing plays in which none of the primary routes even get into the endzone! Result: Turnover and loss of 3-7 points. End of the half, up 7. Sure, let's call a risky out route instead of just running out the clock. Result: Turnover and 7 points to Denver. Late in the 4th quarter, again moving the ball well, what the hell was that WR reverse option pass play? Seriously? Not the time to get cute. One play later, turnover. I'm not going to fault him for the end of the game thing, you expect your star player to hang on to the ball there, but the odds of an inside draw from your own 20 and 30 seconds left (1 TO) leading to anything promising is very remote. KC had 5 turnovers (2 in Denver red zone, 2 in own red zone), went 0-for on 3rd down, dropped probably 3-4 balls that should have been intercepted and had almost 100 yards in penalties. And still should have won that game. Just a complete f***ing disaster. You can't give away games in the NFL like this. I'd bet a good amount of money that KC misses the playoffs by one game again this year. Just watch. Did you have KC -3?

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Sep 15, 2015 -> 12:36 PM) I don't get the timing, but I firmly believe he is picking Illinois. +1

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Sep 15, 2015 -> 08:27 AM) The NFL's 4th quarter comeback definition is about as pathetic as MLB's quality start also. For example in Tony Romo's 1st "4th quarter comeback" of his career on 10-29-2006 against the Panthers the Cowboys were down 13-14 after kicking a field goal with 9:54 left in the 4th. The Panthers then fumble the kickoff and Dallas recovers at the 14 yard line. On the next play Romo hands off to Julius Jones who runs it in for a 14 yard touchdown to put them up 21-14 after a two point conversion. Dallas goes on to the win the game 35-14. Tony Romo is credited for a 4th quarter comeback in that game. By definition a team could be down 1 point at the 1 yard line at the start of the fourth quarter. They kick a field goal and win the game the quarterback is credited with a 4th quarter comeback. Sounds like that 4th quarter comeback stat used as evidence for whether or not a guy is elite is pretty absurd. Eli Manning is also one of the leaders in that absurd stat. Absurd.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 03:43 PM) Denver (+3), NE (PK) and NO (-9.5) in a 3 team teaser this week? Getting them +13, +10 and PK seems like a no brainer. Which means Buffalo is going to blow out the Pats. I would be worried about the Denver game out of the three. It's a short week, a night game at Arrowhead, and the Broncos offense looked horrendous yesterday. 13 is definitely a lot though.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 03:01 PM) This is so absurd. Brady has had excellent OL during his career. Rodgers too. Romo led the league in most of the pass categories last year. I'm sorry but I disagree that BB is better than Romo, the stats do not back this up. That's cool. Not sure I agree with your whole OL premise, but whatever floats your boat. Romo is closer to Matt Ryan and Philip Rivers than he will ever be to a top 3 QB in the league. Just my opinion.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 11:44 AM) Roethlisberger is better than Romo Forgot about him. I agree.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 10:59 AM) Manning and Brees are not top 5 anymore. Rodgers, Brady, Romo is how would list them at his point. Romo is helped a ton by that OL and run game. He isn't on the same planet as the other guys when asked to throw at a similar volume. The only one I would even consider putting romo over is Manning due to how he looks health wise.
-
QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 13, 2015 -> 10:48 PM) Tony Romo is an elite QB. Top 5 easily. What a finish. Rodgers, Luck, Brady, Brees, Manning? I mean, he's good, and maybe you can make an argument for him, but I wouldn't say easily. Hell of a comeback though.
