QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 12, 2017 -> 08:38 AM) Last week they put his rehab on hold and he was receiving treatment. They said there was no setback, just being patient, but considering he had been throwing bullpens for a week or so prior, and they stopped his throwing, there probably was a setback. White Sox pitcher health and rehab has been quite a mystery this year. They spent the offseason at the John Fox school of injury reporting

For all the talk about parity in the salary cap era and the randomness of the Stanley Cup playoffs, only 4 franchises have won the last 9 Cups. 3 - Pittsburgh 3 - Chicago 2 - LA 1 - Boston

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 11, 2017 -> 09:23 PM) A point at Azteca is decent. For sure, great result. Love to hear the frustration in the Mexican fans. Beat Panama at home and a top 3 finish should be secured.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 11, 2017 -> 08:12 PM) That's twice now. I really don't understand this lineup by Arena. No Fabian Johnson. No John Brooks. No Tim Howard. So far Beasley and Guzan have screwed us and our 3 center backs stood around while Beasley forced Vela to the middle of the field like an idiot. I guess Arena said Howard would have played if the game was on Tuesday but cause of the quick turnaround and his injury, they went with Guzan. Would be nice to get some help from the refs. I do like Nagbe coming in

Such a whiff by Omar Gonzalez on the header there. You gotta put that on net

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 11, 2017 -> 07:39 PM) That Bradley goal might be one of the best goals in the history of USA v. Mexico. So awesome. I take back everything bad I've been saying about him recently

QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 11, 2017 -> 11:53 AM) https://twitter.com/jrfegan/status/873932168258621440 I HATE this quote by Ricky I don't remember much bunting in the playoffs anyway?

The location is so awful, but I like Toyota Park. It's a good atmosphere and a pretty nice stadium. The Fire won and played well, but it's easy to see the difference between that and the EPL I watch on weekend mornings.

Saw McDonough at a local pool today. Thought about going up and asking for some trade gossip, but figured it wasn't the polite thing to do. Just hope it's not Hjalmarsson

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 3, 2017 -> 07:21 PM) Apparently the '29 Yankees are back together again in the Bronx Like I was saying

12.5 over under. You would think the game was at Coors, not Wrigley

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 11:05 PM) Curry and Thompson just couldn't ever get going offensively tonight. GSW owners will be happy to pocket an extra $12 million and celebration on home floor, surely. That's exactly what they said about the GSW owners last year too.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 09:58 PM) Hawks might be on the verge of trading a core player. Please please please please be Seabrook

Technical Foul-gate!
-
Do you think LeBron listens to a word that Lue says? It sure doesn't seem like it.
-
Besides the fouls, this has been an impressive offensive performance, they can't miss. But the lead still doesn't feel safe.

49 points in a quarter with 8 missed free throws, wow. But you know the Warriors are gonna make a run

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 01:06 AM) I really think the people that want the Sox to lose every game would be a fascinating study for a thesis on the brain of a sports fan. I think it would be discovered that deep down you are oh, so content during a so-called rebuild because you can puff your chests out and brag to Cub fans and others who would normally mock you or console you after a loss. You don't have to have your pride out there night after night during the season, your mood dependent on whether the White Sox win or lose. Now, thanks to the "rebuild" (lol on rebuild), you can (illogically but in your minds logically) smile at the antagonistic Cub fan or friend and say, 'What? I wanted to lose tonight. I got exactly what I wanted, a loss." The Cub fan or other person mocking you or consoling you for the Sox loss might add, "Oh you wanted them to lose cause you've finally come to your senses and stopped being a Sox fan?" You then would respond: "No. I want them to lose cause we are rebuilding and I want us to get the No. 1 pick in the baseball draft preferably but top three would be OK I guess." And that fan would say, "Oh," and leave the scene with the same look we all had today after John McCain's bizarre conversation with Comey. You couldn't be more wrong greg. The Cub fan would say, "I remember when my team was in the same boat rebuilding and I rooted for similar things. I hope the Sox are as successful as the Cubs were. NOT!"

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 11:01 PM) I didn't watch the first half, but it looked like T&T got a lot of chances. But the US really contained them offensively in the second half and controlled the tempo. I'm hoping we at least get one point against Mexico, but playing at the Azteca is tough. There's still a lot of qualifying games left. I'm pretty positive we can at least get 3rd in the hex. Just need to win the games we should win and at least draw the games vs. Mexico and Costa Rica. Panama stealing a point at Costa Rica last night was annoying, but the US is still in great shape. They don't need a result at Azteca, but a point would be huge, doubt they get it though. Heading to Toyota Park for the first time tomorrow, I had been to a Fire game in the past at Soldier Field, but never in Bridgeview.

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Jun 9, 2017 -> 08:48 AM) Why would he move west where it's more difficult to get to the Finals? Maybe to the Spurs, if that can even happen. Lebron + Kahwi on Durant and Curry may work... If anything they need to trade Love or Kyrie for some serious, young talent. His dumbest move as a GM was giving Thompson so much money. They're stuck with him. Do we know for certain that Durant will stay in Oakland after 2018?? Maybe he'd go join LBJ somewhere.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 10:17 PM) FWIW, Mexico only won 1-0 against them. I thought they played pretty well tonight, especially in the second half. The Pulisic hype is real. I didn't watch but they seemed to usually get better results at home vs TnT. Either way, Pulisic just keeps being better and better. Awesome. Trying to watch this Costa Rica game but BeIn is the worst channel ever.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 08:52 PM) Pulisic with two huge goals. Wasn't pretty at times...but US did what it needed to do at home. Huge game in Azteca on Sunday. Fired up for it. Final stretch of World Cup qualifying. I didn't even realize there was a game tonight. 2-0 vs Trinidad and Tobago is awful, but 3 points are all that matter. Thanks Pulisic!

Road Pekka Rinne sucks yet the Hawks scored zero goals in two home games.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 03:49 PM) That is a sad commentary on society. When i was working in the MLB, NBA and NFL, the MLB was always the worst. Once the POTUS got caught in the Oval Office, the outrage had nowhere to go but down

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 8, 2017 -> 11:22 AM) Getting that asshole out of office would do wonders for everything. Hasn't the stock market just been increasing since November?
