All we had to do there was hit the ball that inning. Instead we tried to squeeze when Dyson had been getting his ass handed to him. Then we let a guy who runs as fast as Paul Konerko go from second to home, only to get gunned by 10 feet. WTF? Just awful managing.

Wow we finally take a lead and we give away the insurance run...Do you not trust Jackson to hit a fly ball there?

Duke vs. Beltre...this can't end well.

QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:29 PM) 1st pitch fastball right down the middle and he fouls it off. That's a sign that a hitter needs to make some adjustments. Second pitch was a good one to hit too. He's just off right now.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:25 PM) Eaton is the only guy on this team that consistently puts together great at bats. I wouldn't say consistently. He wastes a decent amount of ABs looking at one or two pitches and then grounding out. It happens, but I wouldn't say he's all that patient.

QUOTE (mmmmmbeeer @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:22 PM) If I'm Rodon, I'm absolutely livid after that s*** show. 3-0 why not just put Andrus on first instead of giving him something to hit? Cause Odor is good.

When Jerry Sands is contributing more than you, you've got problems...

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:18 PM) Avi needs AAA time now. Yup, he's absolutely clueless up there. Get his confidence back up so he can go up there with a gameplan as opposed to just swinging at everything.

Should have just kept Rodon in...Andrus didn't do jack against him today.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 03:02 PM) Jackson is killing us Not his fault when he hits the ball hard and it hits off the mound right to the 2B. Jackson's been the most unfortunate hitter on the Sox so far. Lots of good contact and nothing to show for it.

QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 02:50 PM) This is hardly a worthwhile complaint. If he had walked those guys, you wouldn't be saying the same thing. He just came off a start where he couldn't make it out of the first because of bad control. It's a concern with him.

QUOTE (Scoots @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) He only has 1 walk today He got to a full count to 2 guys in the 5th. I'd like to see him nibble a bit less. He has the stuff to get away with a mistake or two.

Rodon still really prone to falling behind and walking guys.

Avi Needs to Go
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 22, 2016 -> 06:28 PM) 2nd - out of zone swing% 8th - in zone swing% 3rd - total swing% 3rd - wiff% Basically he's swinging at everything, this tends to happen when you have no clue what you're doing at the plate and guess on every pitch. And on a semi-related note: Khris Davis has been unbelievably bad this year, his contact rates are significantly worse than any other qualified hitter. I know there was some mention of him in the offseason. After what I saw from Davis in the first series, I didn't want anything to do with him. Dude goes up there trying to jack everything out of the park. It's a terrible approach.

2016 Fantasy Baseball Official Thread
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 23, 2016 -> 12:07 AM) I finally moved Arrieta. After we AGREED upon this deal (Arrieta + Corey Seager for Syndergaard, Kinsler, and Addison Russell), he kept waffling back and forth for days, not giving me an answer or randomly changing his mind back and forth, we eventually settled on this... I trade: SP Jake Arrieta SP Michael Wacha OF Colby Rasmus (picked him up waivers this week) I receive: SP Noah Syndergaard 2B Ian Kinsler 1B Joey Votto No idea why this guy decided to "throw in" Votto. I never even brought him up, as I ASSUMED he would be untouchable (Depsite a poor start). Really excited about adding Kinsler as Kolten Wong has been atrocious for me. Rasmus has been great, but I JUST got him and 4 of his 5 HR have come in 2 games, so I am banking on a couple hot games inflating his totals. Syndergaard is a step-down, but maybe not that much if he keeps racking up the Ks, and Arrieta doesn't. Really didn't want to lose Wacha, but if Votto rebounds at all, and Kinsler keeps being a top 2 2B in baseball, I will have come out very very good in this deal, I believe. That's a great trade for you. I can't believe he'd just throw in Votto.
